We took the Boomerang bus for a joint birthday party and it was a blast! We went all around DC and the whole night was a success! It was so nice to go to different bars but not have worry about driving or taking a cab! I would definitely recommend the boomerang bus and WILL be doing it again in the future :) |

This review pertains to my third and most recent trip on The Boomerang party bus. This past weekend, at least 20 of my friends and I reserved seats on the bus to celebrate our recent Bar exam passage. We dressed in costumes beginning with the letter "B," because we had done themed parties before and the co-owner of the Boomerang told us we were "awesome."
So we show up in costume and are directed *by Boomerang staff* towards the wrong bus, and then screamed at by two different bus drivers. We then proceeded to the first of three bars on our itinerary. However, these three bars were all in a mile radius of each other. Considering that The Boomerang crew picked the bars for us, you think they would have let us sit on the bus a little longer and enjoy each other's company. We had paid them $35 to do so. But no, they ordered us off the bus immediately.
In the first bar, Recess (awful), one of the Boomerang staff members tried to take a photo of me in my costume using his camera phone, without my consent. One of our group members was too fast for him, so she popped up and blocked him. I told one of the co-owners of The Boomerang what had happened, and he said he would take care of it. He did so by calling the employee over to us and asking if it had really happened. The employee started stuttering and lying. Too bad for him, I'm not afraid of confrontation and shut him down.
Bottom line: we overpaid for a VERY brief time on the bus that didn't go very far and took us to the worst bars that we would never choose to go to. We were verbally assaulted by the staff and offended by a total CREEPER.
No more Boomerang for us. |

We used the Boomerang Nightlife Party Bus for a friend's 30th birthday. It was great to do a "bar crawl" without crawling, or walking all over the city. The music and dancing on the bus, to the Boomerang drink specials at each bar were fantastic! Would definitely do it again!! |

I don't have much to add from my reviewers below but Saturday night's boomerang was not a good experience. I'm into math (MATH, not meth) recently, and just figured out that with the 3 times we have gotten a group of 20-25 people to ride the Boomerang, we have spent somewhere between $2100-2500 dollars. We should have just purchased our own bus.
You don't ask people which bars they'd like to go to, and tell them that you're really looking forward to their crazy costumes and getups that you are familiar with from trips past, and then take the group to a bunch of clubs where it is clear that the group is not welcome. Also, you pay for a BUS and time on the BUS, not a conveniently large icky taxi to take you for a 5 minute ride between bars.
The boomerang bus was going to be our annual or semi-annual law school reunion, and we used to speak enthusiastically about it, but I can assure you we will no longer be riding. |

Disappointed after A long Loyalty with Boomerang

After serving as a longstanding champion of the Boomerang, participating in Boomerang THREE times in One year, and having my group well known by members of the Boomerang company, it was quite disappointing to see the:
1) lack of thoughtfulness in selecting bars
2) lack of coordination with organizing riders
3) lack of benefit that we got for 35.00 - which was none.
4) lack of respect from the bus driver
5) lack of effort to remedy the ongoing problem
Mostly the night was spent receiving apologies from our boomerang personnel. However, saying sorry over and over without any effort to remedy the situation does really cut it. I felt like I was consoling a friend rather than enjoying an evening.
Bye Bye Boom Boom. |

This was my third boomerang trip in the past 12 months, and I was really excited. Unfortunately, this was the worst boomerang experience I've ever had. We wrote ahead of time to let Boomerang know that we were going to be in costume for this ride. We requested certain bars from the list that we were sent which included bars like Kelly's Irish Times and Madhatter. We were instead taken to Recess and Tattoo which were crowded and miserable. The reason we wrote ahead of time is because we knew that we were going to look ridiculous and wanted to be sure we weren't taken to places where both we and the other patrons would be uncomfortable. However, our requests were ignored and the experience suffered for it. Additionally, we were only on the Boomerang itself for ten minutes at a time. The reason my group of friends bought Boomerang tickets was to be able to ride around on the bus and enjoy it. We did not spend $35/ticket to treat the Boomerang like a taxi. This was the worst Boomerang experience I can imagine. |

My friends did a joint birthday party on the bus. I had some visitors so it was also a nice thing to do with them because you could take them out in DC without worrying about driving, the metro or cabs. We all had a lot of fun. |

I love the concept. The host for the bus (Male & Female) were entertaining on the bus as well as in the clubs. They looked out for the guess and partied with the guess. The music on the bus was mixed, therefore entertaining to all cultures. The various clubs we attended did not provide much R & B music. There were times when it was way too much Techno music which caused highs & lows for the evening. At one point, I wanted to stay on the bus and party while just driving around the city. I must mentioned , we booked for a Saturday night so I don't know if that made the difference in the music at the clubs. However, the club " Recess" was the best stop. My overall experience was great. Only negative I must point out is - when you leave the bus, sometimes you come back to your seat and the stuff you left on the bus has been moved, either to another area or cabinet. Do not like people touching my stuff that should be secured or someone should tell you where they moved it to. I would definitely do it again, but perhaps on a Friday night. Everyone should try it at least one time. |

You need to realize who your clientele is. You can't take a bunch of white kids who were dressed up like idiots to a bar like recess. Nor can you promise them that there will be tickets and not deliver. You essentially stole money from people and did not show them a good time. Unfortunately for you, most of these people were local attorneys fresh out of law school. You just lost any chance of any recommendation from any of the 30 of us present. Good luck in the future. |
