| The Boomerang was great. We are a local group of female friends who are all over thirty and we had "Ladies Night" on the Boomerang. It was the most fun we've had in a long time. You better book your tickets really fast because we will be boarding the Boomerang regularly and we are known to sell the bus out fast. See ya soon. |

| The Boomerang was like the highlight of my whole weekend. I enjoyed myself so much, everyone had a lot of fun. The club locations were perfect, there wasn't a big crowd, so we were able to have more and more fun. Also the times spent at the clubs were perfect. I would highly recommend it to everyone. |

| The Boomerang party bus was fun and exciting. This is a ride that you wont forget. i was the only sober person on the bus and still had a wonderful time. The clubs were great the owners and other people on the bus were friendly, and it was truly a great experience. I would recommend that everyone rides the bus at least once. |

| Great mix of bars and great drink specials. It would have been even better if we had a full bus. |

| First and foremost, the hosts were EXCEPTIONAL! They were very nice, extremely professional...and very fun to hang with on the bus (oh, and they were both too cute for words!).
I have to say the idea of the party bus is excellent - but I think the overall experience completely depends on the bars that are on the schedule for that evening. Out of the four bars we went to, two were just okay and we LOVED one (had a great time, didn't want to leave) and HATED one (wanted to leave 5 minutes after we got there). Unfortuantely, if you don't like the bar, you are stuck - as the bus leaves (along with anything you left on the bus). Also, the bars were SO crowded (some were crowded before we got there while others WE made crowded once we arrived) that it was hard to even get to the bar to see about ordering the drink specials. That said, I realize the DC bar scene is hopping, so I am sure that every bar would be equally as busy all night, so that isn't the fault of the tour!
The only other minor thing is that our bus felt very crowded--partially, I'm sure, because it's a school bus and most adults I know would have a hard time sitting and being comfortable in those small seats! I am not sure where we would have stored our alcohol (had we actually brought any on the bus with us).
Overall, though, we had a good time. We were with a fun group of people and as I said, the hosts were great. But, honestly, I think I am just getting too old for the crowded bar scene so I probably wouldn't do this again! |

| The night started out okay. Front Page, Adams Mill, and Rumors were okay choices. The bus was kind of ghetto...a SCHOOL BUS painted blue with cheesy quotes about alcohol that haven't been cool since you were 19 and in college. They also have streamers hanging inside...watch out for the "Zona Caliente." Most of us were expecting a hotel shuttle bus type arrangement, so we were, ahem, surprised.
The music played on the bus was AWFUL. By the end of the night, most people were too drunk to care, but who plays Jackson 5 and Johnny Cash on a party bus in DC? Apparently, Boomerang.
The organization of the whole evening could have been much better. The tour organizers did not inform us of which bars we exactly were going to until we left the previous bar. This was annoying and gave us the feel that even they didn't know where we were going. It was also difficult spreading the word when the bus was leaving. You would think the organizers would have the DJ make an announcement that the Boomerang tour was leaving (this is what happens in other bar hops I've been on). But instead, the tour organizers ran around telling people, we're leaving in 10 minutes, pass it on, we're leaving in 5 minutes, pass it on. We left crowded Rumors with far fewer people than we arrived with and I do not know if this was cognizant decision on those people’s behalf or not.
When we got to Adams Mill and went upstairs the bartenders knew nothing of the "one free beer" we had been promised by Boomerang staff and the bartenders proceeded to mock us for asking. We eventually found out that you had to get the free beer downstairs. There was no communication to this effect. Then when we arrived at Rumors we were promised $3.00 Coors Light (yuck) specials by Boomerang. People in our group were charged anything from $2.50 to $3.50 and everywhere in between.
And then our final destination of Ultra Bar…. This was the dance club we had been promised all night. The only problem was the entire group was dressed for Front Page/Rumors and NOT for a club. To complicate matters, it took forever to get off the bus because Ultra staff entered the bus, checked ID's, stamped, and gave us VIP tickets and they took their sweet time about it too. (Although I admit the VIP was a nice touch.) We entered Ultra quickly and were shuttled upstairs where we all were grossly out-of-place. You were able to go downstairs, but it was packed as you would expect at a club at 1:30 on a Saturday night.
All in all, I think the Boomerang concept is a good one, but it’s got a long way to go. Maybe if we were all tourists and didn’t know better, the experience would have been better. The bars the tour visited did not seem to care that Boomerang was there and this is why: The good DC bars are going to do a good business whether Boomerang visits them or not. If you want to offer a better service, you need to get the businesses you visit to buy into your product.
