An exciting 41st Birthday on the Boomerang

| I celebrated my 41st birthday with a group of friends on the Boomerang. I had the best time. I have to confess, in the beginning I thought I was too old to party with the other riders but was proved wrong immediately after entering the Boomerang. Everyone on the Boomerang had the same goal.... to party and have a great time.... And that's just what happened. I would recommend the Boomerang to any age group, gender, and nationality. As long as you want to have good fun, you're eligible to ride. :-) But remember.... what happens on the Boomerang, stays on the Boomerang. La-Donna | ||||||

| My girlfriend and I attended this event on the boomerang. We had a very good time. We really did. However, I would like to give a little more information than we were given from Zerve. Important details I believe that will enhance this adventure. First ,we were told that the attire is fabulous dressy attire. Most of the people on the boomerang had on jeans. My girlfriend and I felt a little over dressed but we did not let that keep us from enjoying ourselves. Second, we were the oldest people on the boomerang (49 and 50), but again, we did not let that keep us from having a good time. So, I would suggest that you come with a mindset that you will be partying with a mixed crowd (young, middle age, black, white). Third, I would also suggest that you bring a bottle w/cups with you if you want to take a taste on the bus before you go into the club. This was a very nice touch of class. One 30-something age group came on with jello shooters and shared them with the whole bus. Another group of 24-something age was celebrating a birthday and shared minature bottles with the birthday girls name on the bottles. Now for the good stuff. My girlfriend and I really had a wonderful time. We went to four clubs. The two were just bars, but when we went next door to Modern and had a fabulous time. They were partying, dancing, just having a good time. We left Modern and went to R&R, last club on the agenda (would you believe it, it was a Irish club). But let me tell you. They played the music. I usually don't dance off young people music, but he played a little young and old but not the real go-go type. Everyone was partying so hard. My girlfriend and I had such a good time, I am trying to convince my niece to have her Birthday party on the boomerang in June 22 or 23rd. I would like to add that I don't usually party with a younger crowd but no one got out of hand. Everyone was just having a good time. Also, we got left behind by the 1st bus, but there was another bus that took a sweep of the place before they left, so we got on his bus. That bus was fun also. Let me tell you about the bus. It is a place to let you hair down. They play music. It's like being in a club on wheels. When you first get on the bus if you are around the 49-50 age, you are skeptical. But just go with it. Go with the groove. You will definitely have a good time. Really, we did and plan to go again. | ||||||

| Okay, this is a long review, but you said I have up to 3000 characters - HA! I had Boomerang tickets for me and a friend last Saturday night. I asked him for his comments and here's what he had to say "What a great time! I was thoroughly and happily surprised. That was one of the best times I have ever had and I party - ALOT. Everyone always asks me for cool things to do in DC? I can unabashedly tell them to Ride the Boomerang Nightlife Party Bus of DC! - Steve of Capitol Hill" I would have to agree with my buddy 100%. On our nightlife party bus, we had a really diverse group, including a cool group of friends celebrating a bachelorette party (congrats Melody!), another girl's 21st birthday party, Anthony's 25th birthday party (and all his friends and his very cute sister, Joanna), another group of several guys who were all celebrating the same birthday, and more. It was a great group of guys and gals that partied well together all night long. When setting up their parties, some people told me they used eVite to tell everyone and then put a link to the Boomerang website for the tickets - automated partying - gotta love it! The DC bars and clubs we stopped at were a good mix. I especially remember all the looks on the people's faces standing outside in the cold at the Eye Bar, as we rolled up, flashed our wrist bands and IDs to the bouncers and *poof*, we disappeared inside and left them standing out there - too cool! The drink specials were amazing ($1 drafts - are you kidding me? that's better than having a keg on the bus!). The Blue Ray vodka drink special at Modern, in Georgetown, was spectacular. And how great were Nikki & Dave, our party directors? They were fantastic, making sure everyone was having a great time (and making sure we all got back on the bus without slowing down the party - I seriously don't know how they kept track of everyone). I'm going on and on, but really, this is one of the best things to do to in DC - you get to check out Washington DC's nightlife, bars, clubs, lounges, party scene, party goers - you name it - all in one trip! It's the ultimate pub crawl :-) And when it's all over, you're right next to the Dupont Circle Metro station. WILL I BE BACK? ABSOLUTELY - AND I'M BRINGING FRIENDS!! - John of Arlington | ||||||

| Steve's Bar Room was DISGUSTING!!! No room to move - RUDE bartenders - changing prices on drinks every time same drinks ordered!!! Also - while leaving - smoke alarms and/or fire alarms were going off and the staff's way to fix the problem was "just turn it off!!" They were OVER the limit for fire safety!! Rumours was a Great Bar!! Would recommend it again - | ||||||

| The boomerang kinda reminds you of when you were younger doing those school field trips. Only this field trip was a lot different. You can party your A-- off. You make new friends, have a great time dancing with your new friends. I would highly recommend this field trip. | ||||||

| this was my second time going. I had a ball as usual. Only complaint was that I didn't like one of the clubs,but I found out later that I can choose which clubs I want to go to. So I will plan my next party bus event in the spring time...see you in may!!! | ||||||

| I didn't know that there was goign to be loud music & revolving lights on the bus. I had a group of 30s, 40s, 50s singles and they enjoyed the vineyards but not the bus. I had a lot of complaints about the bus and I wish I had known about the ambiance beforehand. | ||||||

| It would've been a great time, but someone obviously didn't know how to pick the locations..the people were great ...but the places were HORRIBLE...some of the participating partners on the list on your website I knew so I thought this would be a great night...I guess we got all of the ones that sucked..b/c this night was horrible and may people on my bus said the same thing and most of my bus-mates ended up taking cabs home after the first and 2nd bar..we stayed until the end..trust me.. | ||||||

| the bus was a great way to spend out Oct. 31 festivities. no lines, didn't have to walk in the rain. our only issue was that we didn't spend a lot of time actually on the bus (where we had our own booze)...it was like get on the bus....go to next bar that was close by. i would have like to have done more bars in different parts of town to take advantage of having a "ride." plus going to Kelly's Irish Times at the end of the night was a letdown. Ultabar was promised....i can get into Irish Times any time. | ||||||

| I am very disappointed in this experience. I paid a lot of money and there were no drink specials and to make matters worse the bus got in an accident and made us wait for along time to get a ride. I will never ride Boomerang again. | ||||||
