Great tour with lots of information and interesting sites. Took a group of Jewish Bostonians who found it very interesting. While the tour is not designed for people in wheelchairs, we took two with 90 year olds. The guide was patient and we all did the full tour. Some steps and hills but we negotiated it all and it was very enjoyable.

In rained heavily throughout the tour but it remained interesting with excellent detail and looking at buildings and architecture that we would have otherwise unknowingly walked past. Recommend if you don't know much about Boston.

I did the walk with my dad and even though it was rainy and cold the tour was wonderful. The guide was engaging and my dad, who is a history buff, loved the tour.

Excellent walk through Boston's history

Highly recommend this tour by Boston CityWalks. Tour guide Alan was very knowledgeable and knew all the details about the 18th century background to many of the sites and all the players that made the city famous, through to the current day aspects, such as the building used for the Boston Legal TV façade. Revere, Hancock, JFK sites all pointed out. Only aspect I'd suggest change on is allowing a couple of minutes to directly walk past the homes John Kerry and JFK live and lived in, rather than point to them from a block away (I imagine the guide was hoping to preserve some privacy). There are several tour options for Boston but doing it on foot allowed you to go to the backstreets that the buses didn't reach.

Alan, our tour guide, was entertaining and informative. Having been the first time in Boston, this walk allowed me to see the beautiful city and learn so much about it. I would definitely recommend the walk tour - you get your money's worth and a great history lesson!

We really enjoyed our recent walking tour. Alan was a great guide and brought the sites of Boston to life with great stories. The pace was good, although a washroom break/breaks and chance for a coffee/water would have been welcome. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our tour with Allen of Little Italy and surrounding area. Allen was very personable and humorous with a real knowledge of Boston. We were with our 8 year old daughter and she didn't complain once of the the walking or history lesson! I would highly recommend this tour company. We got a real feeling for the area which helped us for the rest of our stay.

WORTHWHILE WALK

I appreciated Alan's unexpected individual tour he gave me of downtown Boston. He was a very nice man and made an effort to cover those things I was most interested in seeing, i.e. architectural features. Also included were many historical facts, events, and misconceptions one might have been taught or heard. We covered a lot of territory in our 2 hours, and I saw both the "old" (buildings, statues, plaques, headstones) and the "new" (I.M. Pei's catastrophe, Boston Marathon memorial, gardens of fresh flowers) of Boston. His stories were interesting and informative, and I learned a lot that I had never been aware of.
