We really enjoyed our tour with Allen of Little Italy and surrounding area. Allen was very personable and humorous with a real knowledge of Boston. We were with our 8 year old daughter and she didn't complain once of the the walking or history lesson! I would highly recommend this tour company. We got a real feeling for the area which helped us for the rest of our stay.

WORTHWHILE WALK

I appreciated Alan's unexpected individual tour he gave me of downtown Boston. He was a very nice man and made an effort to cover those things I was most interested in seeing, i.e. architectural features. Also included were many historical facts, events, and misconceptions one might have been taught or heard. We covered a lot of territory in our 2 hours, and I saw both the "old" (buildings, statues, plaques, headstones) and the "new" (I.M. Pei's catastrophe, Boston Marathon memorial, gardens of fresh flowers) of Boston. His stories were interesting and informative, and I learned a lot that I had never been aware of.

This was our first time to Boston so we wanted to find a comprehensive tour that not only would provide some history of the city, but would also expose us to the various downtown neighborhoods so that we could target more time in certain ones, later in the trip. This tour did both and we would recommend it to anyone new to the city. If you are familiar with the city and history, this tour might be too much of a broad overview for your liking.

Not worth the money

You cannot have a jewish walking tour of Boston by simply throwing in the word Jewish in every second sentence. Our guide was a very pleasant man but the tour itself was a waste. It was a nice walk around Boston. Would not recommend .

There was only my husband & I on our recent tour, so where ever everyone else was, they missed out on a great walk & talk of Boston. We learnt a lot & would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning something of Boston & being with some one who has the time & knowledge to answer any questions & make history come alive.

We are American history buffs (MA residents) and brought our Canadian cousins, who asked to do the Freedom Trail. Our guide was delightful -- knowledgeable with a good sense of humor to keep things interesting.

We appreciated the vast knowledge of the guide and how he connected things that might not seem Jewish with the Jewish tour, as well as things obviously Jewish.

Was a great tour and probably one of the better ones we have been on. I don't remember the gentlemens name maybe Neil, older gentlemen absolutely lovely just great and thankful we got him. Knew everything we asked, threw in other things that were good to know that were surprising when told. Thought it was great and will definately be passing on good words to people we know who visit.

It was a late afternoon and we happened to be the only group on the tour. The guide was very friendly and funny. He answered any questions and made the tour seem very personal to us. We learned a lot about the history of Boston!
