Great Tour with Alan
Sun, Apr 21  12:30 PM jlarsen0959 Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We had a great time walking through the streets of Boston with our guide, Alan. He knew the history of the area. Equally important, he knew folks who live in work in the area, and was greeted by several. Just a lot of fun those interested in both history and neighborhoods.

We went with Alan on a walk through Cambridge. Alan knew the neighborhood, and was able to get us to places others would have missed. A great walk.

This past Sunday some family and I went on a multi-combined walking tour of Boston and we saw and learned about things that we never knew about, and we are locals. The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the historical points of interest. He was patient when we had to stop for a break, and he kept the teenagers engaged (which isn't easy to do). I would highly recommend Boston City Walks if you want to feel and understand Boston and its history.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour. Our tour guides' name was Allan. He gave us a history lesson, pointed out many points of interest. We felt we became very familiar with the city. He also had a great sense of humor which made our tour very enjoyable also.

I would definitely recommend this tour. The tour guide was a very knowledge, affable fellow with an endearing pride in his city and an accent to match. Back Bay and Beacon Hill are of course beautiful and historically rich neighborhoods. Highlights included Louisberg Square in Beacon Hill.

I enjoyed the walk along the Freedom Trail in Boston, and felt that the tour hit a good number of interesting and historically significant sites. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour wasn't too long or too short. He also provided some comments/recommendations for a couple of new stores/restaurants, so it was relevant to the present state of Boston as well. We actually went to a burrito fusion place for lunch that he had pointed out, and it was delicious!

We were a group of Preservation student, looking to learn about some of the architecture of Boston. Allen, our tour guide, was able to give us that and more! He had some great stories about the buildings and the people who lived there.

An evening stroll in Boston

A good way of passing an hour or so on a cold Boston evening, taking you many points which even a careful reading of the guidebook would pass by.
