Description

Join Branson Landing Cruises for a captain-narrated sightseeing tour of Lake Taneycomo on board the famous Lake Queen paddle wheeler. The 100 ft Lake Queen can carry up to 149 passengers and boasts a climate controlled lower deck with panoramic views and a spectacular outdoor upper deck.

On this 1.5 hour cruise, you will:
  • Cruise south to the Historic Lake Taneycomo Bridge as you hear about Baldknobber’s, Branson’s first roller skating rink, and the Hillbilly Jamboree, Branson’s first music show
  • Pass beneath majestic Mt. Branson as you wind your way back north towards the 95-acre Branson Landing waterfront to witness the $7.5 million spectacular water attraction, merging water, fire, and music.
  • View the immense diversity of Branson’s wildlife, from the American Bald Eagle, Night Heron and Brown Thrasher to foxes, coyote, mink and flying squirrels
  • Listen to tales of how Branson got its name and why Rockaway Beach is no longer referred to as the Ft. Lauderdale of the Midwest
Branson tourism is rooted in the beauty of the sheer bluffs of the Ozarks, the abundant wildlife and the meandering streams, rivers and lakes. Don't miss this opportunity to experience Branson’s most natural show aboard the Lake Queen!

During the heat of the summer months, come out on the Lake Queen and enjoy temperatures on the water that are 15 – 18 degrees cooler than the temperatures on land!

Near Branson Landing Blvd and E Main Street (Wharf District, Branson, MO) (Exact meeting location details will be provided immediately upon purchase of tickets.)
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Advance purchase is strongly recommended, as cruises often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please buy your tickets well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
What about taking children on the tour?
Children are more than welcome aboard our sightseeing cruises! Children 4 - 11 years of age have a reduced price ticket, and children up to 3 years of age are free but must have a secured ticket in order to attend.
What happens if it rains?
The Lake Queen has an enclosed, climate controlled lower deck and a canopy covered upper deck so we are able to go out in most weather conditions, and our captain is in constant communication with the Coast Guard and the National Weather Service. We do go out rain or shine; however, we would never put our passengers in harm's way. In the event of severe or unsafe weather we would have to cancel, and you will be given the opportunity to reschedule to another date or receive credit for a future event.
How many people can be on the boat at one time?
The Lake Queen is 100 feet long and 20 feet wide and can carry up to 149 passengers. The lower deck seats up to 90 people and the upper deck has additional seating.
What will we see on the tour?
You will see a vast variety of wildlife and other great attractions on the sightseeing tour. Landmarks will include Baldknobber's, Branson's first roller skating rink; Historic Lake Taneycomo Bridge; Presbyterian Hill; the White River and Roark Creek; Mount Branson; Rockaway Beach; and the Powersite and Table Rock dams. Wildlife could include the American Bald Eagle, the Great Blue Heron, and the Morning Dove, as well as deer, foxes, and more!
Are food or drinks served during the tour?
No food or beverages are included on the cruise. However, we have a snack bar available on board that serves alcoholic beverages, sodas, and snacks. Sodas go for $2 a piece and come with a souvenir cup and snacks such as chips, candy, and popcorn range from $1 - $1.50. Please bring extra cash with you if you'd like to purchase drinks and snacks on board!
Can I bring my own food and beverages on board?
No, unfortunately personal foods and beverages are prohibited for insurance reasons. We do, however, have alcoholic beverages, sodas, and snacks available on board for purchase!
Can I bring alcohol on the boat?
No, you cannot bring your own personal alcoholic beverages on board.
Is entertainment provided on the cruise?
Our entertainment is comprised of the exquisite natural beauty of Lake Taneycomo and the spectacular surrounding Ozark mountain countryside, coupled with the lake's unique wildlife and the man-made wonders that are such landmarks as the Taneycomo Bridge, Branson Landing, and the 7.5 million dollar fire, water, and light show. Rather than provide you with the same old song and dance you've seen for years, this one-of-a-kind ride offers a professional staff and a knowledgeable captain who will lead you through Missouri's pristine waterways as he tells you all about the sights you pass along the way. This cruise is sure to entertain and educate again and again.
Doesn’t it get really hot in Branson during the summer?
It can, but that’s the perfect reason to come out on the water aboard the Lake Queen! In the heat of the summer it is 15 to 18 degrees cooler on the waters of Lake Taneycomo than it is in the shopping area at Branson Landing, on the strip or even on Table Rock Lake. The waters of Lake Taneycomo always maintain a temperature of just 45 degrees, so Branson Landing Cruises is always your best bet for cool summer fun!
Is there air conditioning/heating on board?
Yes, the lower deck is enclosed and climate controlled.
Is it customary to tip the crew?
Your crew works very hard to make sure you have the best experience possible aboard the Lake Queen. While tips are not required, they are greatly appreciated!
Is seating assigned on the tour?
No. For our sightseeing cruises seating is on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early if you'd like to sit in a particular spot on the boat!
Are there life jackets on board?
Yes, the Lake Queen has more than enough life jackets available for all passengers at any time. However, you are not required to wear life jackets during the sightseeing cruise.
Is the boat wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Lake Queen is wheelchair accessible, and so are the restrooms on board. Do keep in mind that the entrance to the boat is only 30 inches wide, so some larger wheelchairs and electric scooters or Segways may be more difficult to accommodate. If you'd like to make a special request for boat side drop off or assistance, please click on the "Contact BransonTours" link.
Is smoking allowed?
Yes, smoking is allowed on the outdoor decks in designated areas only.
Are restrooms available?
Yes! The Lake Queen has two clean restrooms on board (one for men and one for women). They are both wheelchair accessible as well.
Is the tour suitable for pregnant women?
The sightseeing tour aboard the Lake Queen should not be a problem for pregnant women as the waters are very calm and boat very stable. If you are concerned, you may want to consider consulting a doctor before attending the cruise.
Is there room to stow my belongings on board?
There is room on board to store limited belongings. If you have large personal belongings (such as a suitcase), we may ask you to keep them in our ticket booth which will be securely surveyed throughout the duration of the cruise.
Will I get seasick?
The Lake Queen is a large, stable boat and Lake Taneycomo has very calm waters. Therefore seasickness is very rare. If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, please do consider consulting your doctor before attending the cruise.
What else can I do around the meeting location?
There are plenty of great things to do at Branson Landing, from a Build-a-Bear workshop to various pro shops, fast food restaurants, and high end dining. All shops and restaurants are within walking distance from the meeting location, and historic downtown Branson is only a short two blocks away.
What about parking?
Free parking can be found at the north end of Branson Landing, near the corner of Branson Landing Boulevard and North Commercial Street next to Belks Department Store. Once you park, you can walk along Promenade Way through the shops of Branson Landing or head straight down to the boardwalk.
How far is the boat from the parking area?
The boat is about a 5 minute walk from the main parking area. If there is anyone in your party who would have difficulty walking that distance, you may drive up to the gate near the boat and drop them off before parking your car. To access the service road, please pull up to the motion sensor electronic arm, wait for the arm to rise, and drive up to the gate. Please note that there is no parking on the service road or by the gate, so after dropping your party off, please drive over to the main parking area.
