| Recently, a friend & I signed up for the Park Slope tour & strolled around this beautiful Brooklyn neighborhood with Big Rick. After the tour was done, we met other friends & found ourselves relaying what we'd learned on this informative tour that took place in an area that neither one of us knew much about at the start.
Hearing stories from Rick's childhood days, growing up in Brooklyn, brought a warmth to the tour that is hard to beat since most tours of other cities are given by 'hired guns' who simply memorize details while Rick actually experienced the ones that he portrayed. He pointed out many sights & architectural details - both past & present, that would surely have been missed had we done our own walking tour.
Thanks for providing this service! One Brooklyn neighborhood 'down', others to follow! |

| Enthusiasts always make the best leaders and teachers. Rick was born in the neighbourhood and lives there today; he is passionate and informative. Having a walk with him in the winter sunshine was a pleasure.
By chance I live in an area of Glasgow that boomed around 1880 and built sandstobne town houses and apartment blocks at the same time. I was taken by surprise to find the same pattern of house building and street scape in Brooklyn.
Doing low key tours like this is much more rewarding than the A list or glamour sites.

| I'm not one for walking but this tour has really turned me off bus tours! With only five people on the tour we didnt have to strain to hear and could ask as many questions as we liked. The tour guide was really informative especially with architecture and dates etc. Don't let the 3 hours walking put you off, you really don't realise it so much walking because the tour is interesting. Plenty of time for photographs too. Most importantly we now know how to eat a slice of pizza brooklyn style! |

| We walked by my house!
I always wanted to know what this guy was doing pointing at my house, so I signed up for the tour. I lived here for over 20 years and never noticed the gargoyles and hobbits over my doorway. Cool...
This was a lot of fun. If you are visiting NYC, this is a great way to see a neighborhood not just the touristy things. But, I will will be recommending it to my neighbors, it is a great way appreciate you own borough! I will be giving this tour as a gift.
I even blogged about it. |

| We really enjoyed the history and architecture of Brooklyn. Rick was exceptionally versed in the history, architecture and nuances of the neighborhoods. It was a crash course learning about the rich heritage of people and buildings that make up the neighborhoods of Brooklyn where we walked. I'm glad we made this part of our NYC trip. |

| I had my Graduate Interior Architecture students attend this event for their class. The feedback was very positive from my students. Rick the tour guide was very infomative on architecture details, history and Brooklyn trivia. The tour enable the students to see a variety of styles. This was very helpful for hands-on experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
