Nice Tour

My friend and I enjoyed the tour, especially the brownstone neighborhoods and the park. We enjoyed, also, the history of what we saw and the stories of people past and present. There was, however, too much architecture discussed for our tastes.

Great tour- informative and fun!

My husband and I took our ten year old daughter to the city last weekend and I booked this tour because we wanted to learn something about Brooklyn. I'm so glad I found it! It's the perfect combination of plenty of history and plenty of personality from our tourguide, Rick, who grew up just a few streets away from the star of the tour. I just asked my daughter what she liked about the tour and she said that she liked all the stories Rick told about the people who lived in the houses and also the stories he told about growing up there. The pizza is delicious, too! I hope Rick gets some other tours up and running because we would definitely book those!

It was a broiling hot day in Brooklyn, but Big Rick took great care to keep us entertained (and in the shade as much as possible). He has a knack for telling stories and sharing historical and architectural information about a truly beautiful neighborhood. The pizza towards the end of the tour was a perfect pick-me-up. Take this tour--you won't be disappointed.

Delightful

Big Rick was great. My husband and I learned a lot about the area and really saw some wonderful architectural elements and heard some great family stories, Brooklyn "urban legends", and history. I loved the stories and history and encourage Rick to include even more. Rick was very personable and entertaining. He made us feel like friends, not tourists. Thanks Rick!

Superb Tour

Rick provides a unique opportunity to take a tour led by someone who not only has a lot of "book" knowledge of the area, but also brings a lot of personal knowledge, as he was born and raised right in the neighborhood. The personal stories that Rick adds to the tour gives an unexpected exclamation point to an already great tour. Rick loves what he does, and that makes for a most enjoyable tour. Anyone who enjoys walking tours through neighborhoods and learning about history, architecture, and sociology will certainly enjoy this tour. Thanks, Rick! I had a great time!

Interesting and Informative

We had a wonderful time on the Walking Tour of Brooklyn. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject matter. There is much more history in Brooklyn than I ever realized, even though I am a native New Yorker! I would heartily recommend this fascinating slice of Brooklyn.

Best of Brooklyn - Even on a Rainy Day

Even though we were 15 minutes late, Rick waited for us in the pouring rain. He didn't try to rush us and, in fact, gave us an extra half hour (maybe because we ducked in for cover in a few buildings along the way). He was a great guide, very warm and with an obvious love for his city!

Your walking tour is the best! We learned so much, and enjoyed every minute of it. For people our age it could have been a bit shorter. A two hour hike would have sufficed. We will recommend you to any friends going to Brooklyn. Steve and Joan

Rick is native of Brookyln so he knows the area inside and out.and loves his Brookylyn. He has a vast knowledge of the area and has many personal stories with colorful characters of the area. You do not want the tour to end because ,Rick, is a wonderful storyteller. Enjoy and visit Brookyln with Rick.
