ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

As soon as we met our tour guide, Rick Kadlub, we knew that this tour was going to be fun. The enthusiasum and love that Rick displayed for his neighborhood of Brooklyn would have been great alone. Rick also shared a wealth of knowledge that we have not been lucy enough to experience on other tours of various regions of New York City. My group has an interest in architecture; an area that Rick masters. It should be noted that beyond Rick's love for his home, his Grandmother (we enjoyed the stories he shared with us) and people in general, he is also a gentleman. Mr. Kadlub will soon be conducting tours of Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery. Our group was fortunate to get a preview of that tour with Rick. We will be booking this tour on our next visit. This tour is sure to satisfy those with interests in architecture and history. I have been coming to NY with groups of friends for the last few years. We always schedule at least two tours for our three day trips. Some of the tours have been AWFUL-never want to do that again and would not recommend it to anyone, OKAY-but not likely to do it again, someone else may enjoy it, GOOD-kept our interest and would recommend to others, GREAT-want to share this experience with everyone we know and would enjoy again. Of course "A Tour Grows In Brooklyn" is filed under GREAT. Thank you Mr. Kadlub!

Big Rick offers the best walking tour in New York, and I've been on many. He is a native of Brooklyn and knows much of the real and anecdotal history first hand. What he hasn't lived, he has researched. It is like a stroll through time and the neighborhood with an old friend. Even locals will come to see architectural detail they never before noticed. You also will benefit from his tips on shopping and restaurants. This tour is an excellent value, and great exercise. There is a good bit of walking, so bring comfortable shoes.

My husband and I appreciated this wonderful opportunity to experience the architecture and historic sites of this fabulous Brooklyn neighborhood, guided by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic native son. Our guide was a storehouse of Brooklyn lore, and the tour covers quite a range of picturesque streets, including the fabulous brownstones, Prospect Park, churches, and Brooklyn's charming Fifth Avenue with its alluring shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the pizza break, and look forward to coming back to spend more time here. The guide couldn't be more friendly, he even gave as a ride to the Brooklyn Museum of Art at the end of the tour. Thanks for a great introduction to Brooklyn.

Rick was one of the most interesting, informed and likeable guy you'd ever want to meet! His walking tour of Brooklyn exceeded our expectations. His passion for Brooklyn was evident by all the interesting things he knew from street to street. We would highly recommend this tour as a must do when you visit NY! Nashvile, TN

My daughter recently moved to Brooklyn. I was excited to visit her, see her new apartment and gain a little insite into her new life. We took the BrooklynTour with "Big Rick". He was a delightful guide and gave us many facts about the community. I expecially liked his personal stories and comments. He had grown up in the neighborhood and was able to add many observations about the flavor and style of the changing times. We learned a great deal in such an enjoyable way. Rick was very attentive to us and the others on the tour. We had a wonderful time and my daughter thought it was all "very cool".

We freqently visit New York, and had read that Brooklyn had a lot to offer, but had never ventured over the bridge. We greatly enjoyed all of the facts provided by Rick, the comprehensive tour, as well as his own personal recollections of growing up in Brooklyn. We definitely felt as if we were seeing the place through the eyes of someone who knows every nook and cranny and who has a deep love for Brooklyn and had a great time on the tour. In fact, the time went so fast that we could have gone on for a few more hours! Everyone in our group would enthusiastically recommend the tour to others.

We had a great time learning about and seeing Brooklyn. Our guide, Rick, was very imformative and was able to answer in detail any question that was asked. I have a new understanding of the old and new Brooklyn and greatly appreciate the time and effort Rick puts into his tour! Thanks so much!

We signed up for this tour around 10:30pm the night before. Turns out we were the only ones on this tour - but even though Rick had to come out for a group of only two, he was enthusiastic. We could tell he really enjoys what he's doing. We learned a lot about the Park Slope area - and the pizza was delicious!

Very nice architectural & cultural experience

Rick, a native of Brooklyn, was extremely knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the buildings and neighborhood. Even though I live in the New York area, I am not a native of Brooklyn; but I felt like I lived there after my tour. I never knew there was such rich history in Brooklyn. I highly recommend this tour even if you already live in Brooklyn!
