I was entralled with this tour from beginning to end. A history lesson on Brooklyn, and the many architectural gems in the area. Also Rick the tour guide is awesome. Since he has grown up in the area, and still resides there. He had many of a story to tell. It brought so much more to the tour. Since my return to Boston, I still can't stop talking about it. And would recommend to everybody.

Rick was the highlight of our weekend. We knew virtually nothing about Brooklyn, and although there was only so much one can cover in a 3-hour walk, the commentary made it a very rich experience. Rick is a delight . He peppered the tour with personal stories of growing up and living in Brooklyn, and it made the whole experience come alive. He is interested in architecture, and he pointed out some of those highlights along the tour. I didn't expect that, but I loved being able to learn more about the fabulous architecture that we saw up close and personal.

I live in the neighborhood and brought my sister and son. Rick gives a great tour and an amazing amount of architectural history. I would recommend the tour to anyone whether you are local or out of town just visiting.

| My wife and I had a great experience with Rick as our guide as he took us through the Brooklyn that he knew as a child, the Brooklyn in the early 1900's with an emphasis on the architecture, and the Point Slope section of Brooklyn that is today.
Bring home the 4-pack of the monthly wine specials from Red, White, and Bubbly.
We finished a beautify day by stepping back in time and eating dinner at "2 Toms" Italian restaurant that probably hasn't changed since Rick was a kid living down the street. Be prepared to take home plenty of left-overs. The steak was 3" thick.
We can't wait for more tours and we will bring our friends. An informative and fun day.

Big Rick's tour of Brooklyn was one of the highlights of my most recent trip to New York! His tour was specifically recommended to me by friends & I would not hesitate to highly encourage anyone visiting New York City to spend a day in Brooklyn and enjoy the BEST walking tour around. Rick’s knowledge and passion for Brooklyn based on his experiences of living there his entire life are what makes this walking tour an absolute amazing time. Local history, architecture, trivia, points of interest – Rick knows it all!

Big Rick was a great tour guide. He gave us first hand and factual information as only a Brooklyn native could do He went out of his way to accomodate us and was a very friendly host. We would definitely recommend his tour to anyone wanting to see Brooklyn.

We had a fantastic tour guide who knew everything there was to know about Brooklyn and more. He was friendly and always ready to answer any questions, and also gave a personal history as well, which made the tour feel more genuine. I would definitely recommend it to out-of-towners but also to locals who want to learn more about their surrounding neighborhoods and local history.

The tour exceeded our expectations. Rick was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his neighbourhood. I would heartily recommend this tour and hope that visitors manage to make the effort to leave Manhattan for a few hours to appreciate this great area.

We were hoping to get a sense of the history, architecture and general flavor of South Brooklyn but what we got was so much more. Rick is a native of these neighborhoods and while he is a master of the facts of Park Slope and environs, it is his stories of the day-to-day life over many decades that he, his friends, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents actually experienced that really bring the place alive. And the pizza was great.
