| We had a fabulous walk with Rick. He was knowledgeable, fun and interesting.
We were lucky to have him all to our selves. We followed his suggestions for two other days exploring in Brooklyn, which we would not have done without his encouragement.
We recommend him with enthusiasm and will take another tour with him when we return to NYC. |

| We had a great afternoon with Rick. He is enthausiastic and knowledgeable about Brooklyn and a fun guy to spend time with. This tour was the most personal tour I've ever been on and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a taste of how Brooklyn was and how it is today. |

| Rick is a great guide. He really knows the area, has taken time to research history and architecture, is able to throw in some interesting and funny stories, and has a good rapport with area residents, which allows for some nice surprises along the way. He keeps a good pace on the tour and his demeanor makes it fun and comfortable. All of this makes for an enjoyable time. Another good thing about this tour is that you can wait to see what the weather is before booking it (must book before 11:00, tour starts at 12:00). I definitely recommend the tour and hope that Rick expands to include other areas of Brooklyn. |

| Rick was very knowledgeable about the area yet what really distinguished this from other walking tours I've done was the genuine love for the neighborhood and it's history. Hearing about the how neighborhoods in and around the slope had changed through the years (for good and bad), as well as hearing trivia about Rick's family and friends and their place in the neighborhood, made for a very rich experience. |

| The best thing about any trip is visiting a fascinating place AND knowing a local. We were in town from LA, but our local friends had just moved to Brooklyn. So we were sunk, just wandering aimlessly around the local haunts and feeling out-of-place.
But Big Rick and his famous Fedora left us feeling like downright 20 year locals. Think of this as less of a tour and more of the start of a friendship. He's a local who loves his hometown, knows intimate details about dozens of world-class buildings and other points of historical interest and provides (BEST OF ALL) enough authentic local flavor to make this the highlight of our visit to NYC.
Brooklyn has more history in a half-block than many states. And it's all waiting to be discovered as we learned. If you want to snap a few photos for the folks back home, take a double-decker tour of Manhattan. If you actually want something interesting to remember for the rest of your life, take the trip to BK and enjoy three hours of pleasant conversation, strolling and endless points of interest.
If Rick were ever in Los Angeles, I'd gladly take him around our neighborhood and buy him dinner in gratitude for this. An awesome, authentic and just all around enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Thanks for the (expletive) great time, Rick! ;)

Couple on a Date |
| I'm not one for walking but this tour has really turned me off bus tours! With only five people on the tour we didnt have to strain to hear and could ask as many questions as we liked. The tour guide was really informative especially with architecture and dates etc. Don't let the 3 hours walking put you off, you really don't realise it so much walking because the tour is interesting. Plenty of time for photographs too. Most importantly we now know how to eat a slice of pizza brooklyn style! |
