| We had a fantastic tour guide who knew everything there was to know about Brooklyn and more. He was friendly and always ready to answer any questions, and also gave a personal history as well, which made the tour feel more genuine. I would definitely recommend it to out-of-towners but also to locals who want to learn more about their surrounding neighborhoods and local history. |

| We were hoping to get a sense of the history, architecture and general flavor of South Brooklyn but what we got was so much more. Rick is a native of these neighborhoods and while he is a master of the facts of Park Slope and environs, it is his stories of the day-to-day life over many decades that he, his friends, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents actually experienced that really bring the place alive. And the pizza was great. |

| After spending several days in Manhatten, this was a chance to see a different side of New York. Not only did we learn lots about Booklyn history we really enjoyed our guide - "Big Rick".

| We were a family of 5 (including 3 daughters of age 19-24) from Denmark visiting New York for the first time. We were told that Brooklyn tours was worth the effort and the money spent, and it certainly was. Our tour guide Rick showed us around his home environment, and we saw many areas of Brooklyn that we would never have discovered ourselves. It was amazing to listen to wealths of details concerning the history of the neighborhoods, their inhabitants (some of them famous) and the architecture of houses, churches, parks etc. Everything told in an entertaining tone, including answers to all the questions we had. Close to the end of the tour we were fed with large slices of pizza, and we were offered water bottles already when starting our tour on this very hot day. Highly recommended! |

| On July 11, three of us had a tour of Park Slope given by Rick. Rick is very, very knowledgeable about this area, its history, and architecture. Rick himself is charming, fun, and colorful.
This tour was exactly as promised - - even more!
We look forward to another adventure with Rick! |

| It was a broiling hot day in Brooklyn, but Big Rick took great care to keep us entertained (and in the shade as much as possible). He has a knack for telling stories and sharing historical and architectural information about a truly beautiful neighborhood. The pizza towards the end of the tour was a perfect pick-me-up. Take this tour--you won't be disappointed. |

| When we walked down Brooklyn's 4th Avenue we wondered what we have let ourselves in for. The body shops and building works on such a wide avenue looked less than attractive, but don’t be mislead.
On meeting our host at the Brownstone Bagel and Bakery (Who do exceptional bagels) things got instantly better.
Rick (our guide) is someone you can instantly like and has that authentic New York drawl we English love. You can almost see him in an old James Cagney gangster movie. He instantly takes us away from 4th Avenue and any worries we had are gone. Rick’s knowledge of the area, its history and culture is extensive, obviously his miss spent youth wasn’t so miss spent.
While we follow him through the streets of Brooklyn he is both informative and good humored. His obvious love for the area, its architecture and history come through by the bucket full.
You should treat yourself to another side of New York often not seen. Ask lots of questions, Rick will have the answer and enjoy. Even the pizza is good. |
