| On July 11, three of us had a tour of Park Slope given by Rick. Rick is very, very knowledgeable about this area, its history, and architecture. Rick himself is charming, fun, and colorful.
This tour was exactly as promised - - even more!
We look forward to another adventure with Rick! |

| There are a gazillion walking tours online and I am glad that I choose this one. Big Rick(hes not really a big guy, just big on information and friendlyness) was really nice and open to any discussions. He takes you on a historical and personal tour that reflects his very local roots and studies. If you don't like walking then this tour may not be for you. Not that its strenuous, but there is some up hill walking. (Just be sure to put on your walking shoes.) The tour consists of plenty of architecture and funny facts. You will walk past some pretty fancy spots that may make you wonder why is this 3 million dollars?? His fine attention to details teaches you about masonry and the hands that created the buildings. Just when you think that you will pass out from hunger you will stop at this pizza joint and gave some pretty tasty pizza and then there a walk back to square one. Overall this tour is a good one to give you a taste of New York life. Its not overwhelming(like the time square tour) and will encourage you to learn more about the local neighborhoods and the people that make up this wonder place. Thanks again Big Rick. |

| I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Rick. He was very knowedgeable ( a virtual encyclopedia) of the area with little stories for each site. I would highly recommend his tour. He is witty and informative-- a great way to spend the afternoon.... |

| My friend and I enjoyed the tour, especially the brownstone neighborhoods and the park. We enjoyed, also, the history of what we saw and the stories of people past and present. There was, however, too much architecture discussed for our tastes. |

| Rick was a knowledgable tour guide who kept us laughing throughout the tour. Although the tour is 3 hours long, it never felt too long nor too rushed; Rick was always willing to answer any question we had. My parents were in from out of town and it was a good way to begin their stay and also gave me and my wife information about the neighborhood we have lived in for a couple of years that we would probably never have known. |

| My husband and I took our ten year old daughter to the city last weekend and I booked this tour because we wanted to learn something about Brooklyn. I'm so glad I found it! It's the perfect combination of plenty of history and plenty of personality from our tourguide, Rick, who grew up just a few streets away from the star of the tour.
I just asked my daughter what she liked about the tour and she said that she liked all the stories Rick told about the people who lived in the houses and also the stories he told about growing up there.
The pizza is delicious, too!
I hope Rick gets some other tours up and running because we would definitely book those! |

| On Friday, June 20th 2008 my sister and one of our friends met Rick for a tour. The first thing we were impressed with was the fact that our tour included Rick and the three of us. We were expecting a larger group and it was nice to have Rick all to ourselves and be able to ask questions. We were so impressed with Rick's knowlege of the architecture of all the buildings in Brooklyn. The detail he pointed out was nothing we would have noticed on our own. Afterwards we wondered how much research he had to do to learn all of the information he knew. Rick was just a very personable, easy to get along with person. We had such a great time laughing, joking and learning with him. It really made us appreciate a place we had never been before, and will definitely come back to. We were three girls from Pittsburgh that day, who were blown away with the beauty of Brooklyn. We would most definitely recommend a tour with Rick to anyone. Thanks Rick, we loved it. :)
