| The Brooklyn walking guided tour that I attended was an absolute success. I can recommend this tour as for it's way it gave me an impression of this part of New York.
Richard demonstrated a thorough knowledge of practicaly every house or building we passed. He is a great storyteller. And he knows his way around on architecture and on people that lived there in the past. He gained his experience on a very practical base: having lived in the neighbourhood all his life.
Walking through the streets was combined with walking through the park. Even a very Brooklyn like thing to do as pizza eating was comprised.
An absolute recommendation !! |

| In my recent visit to NYC, I really wanted to get out of Manhattan especially after a friend said that "you cannot miss a chance to go to Brooklyn". Using the internet, I found a Tour Grows in Brooklyn. Rick is a terrific guide wtih an encyclopedic knowledge of the Prospect Park -- famous residents, history and architecture. Since he is a native, he lived in the area before it gentrified, when it was an ethnic enclave and much rougher and grittier than now. As an urban planner, it was fascinating to have a personal view of the benefits and drawbacks to gentrification. I would recommend the trip to anyone who wants to get the flavor of the "other" New York City. |

| I am visiting my daughter and while she was a work I worked out while seeing the city. It was a wonderful combination and beats sitting on the bus by millions. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about his home town and we got a personal look at today and the past. I would recommend this tour to the new and the life long learners who want to know just a little more than the book tells. Bookmark this tour as a must! |

| Without a doubt the most prepared tour I have been on since moving to New York City 6 months. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable guide or enthaustic on his subject. Brooklyn appeared to me before the tour as some where over one of the several bridges. But now I see and appreciate this special section called Park Slope. And the highlight official Brooklyn pie(pizza) what a treat. The next time I have vistors this is on the schedule. Great time. |

| I took the 3-hour tour on a cold morning of February. Despite the crisp temperatures, time flew by and l learnt a lof about the history of this neighborhood of Brooklyn. After an architecture walk, we went for a stroll in Prospect park and came back to the shopping/dining area for lunch. The guide, Rick, was very knowledgeable and generous with stories. I shall recommend this tour to my friends and take a new tour soon. |

| The tour was great. We´re a couple of Aussie friends on a 3 day trip to NY and wanted to see a bit more than Manhattan.
Tour was just the right length, with just the right balance of history and local stories to make it real without being academic. It was lovely to see the area through the eyes of a local.
Pizza slice was delish!!! Just what was needed after 2 hours walking.
Thank you! |

| Since none of us had ever been to Brooklyn, we found this a wonderful way to have a "taste" of the borough. We thoroughly enjoyed the information on the architect of the buildings as well as the personal additions from Rick. The slice of pizza at the end was a fine treat as we have heard that brooklyn is known for it's top notch pizza !!! |
