| Rick's is 100% native Brooklyn and his enthusiasm is what makes the tour. Having journeyed to New York many times this was refreshing in that Rick gives insight as to the history of this famous place in context to the history of Manhattan. My 13 year old daughter and friend joined my wife and I and stayed engaged the whole time. Brooklyn is a great urban space and Rick’s history helps you understand the good times and hard times that make Brooklyn…Brooklyn ! We met neighbors and eat pizza at his favorite local shop. Anyone interested in the full history of the greater New York area should check it out. |

| My guide, Rick, knew everything there is to know about Brooklyn. He was patient while I took numerous photos, and gave me wonderful insight into what we were seeing. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the "real Brooklyn" from a true native who loves his town. |

| Dollar for dollar this is among the best walking tours we've ever taken. My husband and I lived in Park Slope for three years in the '80s, and we learned more about the Park Slope neighborhood in the first half-hour of Rick's tour than we had in the three years we lived there! Rick possesses a veritable wealth of knowledge and lore about Park Slope (as well as the rest of Brooklyn) and somehow manages to make you as thoroughly and passionately interested in the subject as he is----but without overwhelming you with irrelevant facts you don't need. Far beyond any tour guide I can remember anywhere in the world where we’ve taken tours (which takes in a lot of territory), he's personable, gracious, and generous to a fault. We will definitely take this tour again, but only after we've taken his Greenwood Cemetery tour. What's more, we're putting it at the top of our list of things to do with our own out-of-town visitors. My rating for this tour is 100% Five Star, out to the tenth power. You can't go wrong with this one. |

| Cannot reccomend this tour highly enough. I did this tour on a freezing February day and when I turned up I was the only person booked for this day. Speaks volumes that Rick was more than happy to go ahead with the tour with just me on it. I have been fortunate enough to visit NYC on many occasions now and was looking for an alternative tour to find out more about the real neighbourhoods away from usual tourist haunts. This was by far the most informative, personal tour that I have been on. Rick was an absolute top bloke, lost count of the amount of locals who stopped said hello and had a few words with us. The areas we walked were full of character and interesting architecture with lots of stories from Ricks childhood being thrown into the mix. Spot on tour and if you read this please book as you wont be dissapointed. |

| We had a fabulous walk with Rick. He was knowledgeable, fun and interesting.
We were lucky to have him all to our selves. We followed his suggestions for two other days exploring in Brooklyn, which we would not have done without his encouragement.
We recommend him with enthusiasm and will take another tour with him when we return to NYC. |

| It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon learning about South Brooklyn,
Park Slope, Prospect Park etc. from someone who has lived in the neighbourhood all his life. It didn't really seem like 3hrs. |

| The tour guide really gave a good flavor of the neighborhood he grew up in. I got a good sense of how it was in the seventies and how it gentrified to become the nice area it is today. I received a good cultural and historical perspective of the neighborhood and the Grand Army Plaza area. Would highly recommend. |

| Big Rick was lots of fun while totally giving us a lot of history of the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. he was pleasant and outgoing and told many personal stories that were woven into the history of the area. i would definitely go again to other tours - this by the way was my 4th time with a Zerve tour, Janet Barson |
