| I cannot give a review due to the fact our tour guide was so horrible that we bailed from the tour. We only went to one site with him and he had no outline and made sense, actually it sounded like he was making it up as he went along. IT WAS HORRIBLE - if you schedule this tour I would recommend you request that Lane not be your guide. |

| Horrible..you can't understand lane's accent and talked so low nobody could hear him. five in the group asked to go to the restroom..two of wich were my husband and myself,he agreed and said he would Waite untill we came back, when we did lane nor the group were not where we left them. It was a total waste of time and money. Thankfully I called and we were given another tour that was terrific and made up for everything!! |

| We had Lane as our Tour-Guide. He as very informative and willing to answer questions that the group had. He is very soft spoken with a low country accent. I think that this enhanced the tour. He isnt anything close to the high energy cheesy guides we have had previously from other tours. He stated several times throughout the tour that if anyone needed him to repeat anything, then to just ask.
We loved the tour and had a great time. It was nice to hear some of the background on the places that we had visited many times. Please take note that this is not a ghost tour or anything like that. The tour is given at night and goes into more detail about the city's past corruption and shady past. ie; prostituton, murder, and judicial processes.
Although the tour is rated R, the vulgar language was kept to a minimum and when used, was apporiate in desriptions of people and events.
We visited from Myrtle Beach and talked about the tour on the 2 hour ride home. I would reccomend this tour to anyone. |

| We had a great time and our guide was knowlegable and entertaining, It is R rated but not disgusting. I can't say enough good things about our guide. He really went the extra mile to answer our questions. Anything from the revolutionary war to modern Charleston. If he didn't know he was happy to direct us to where we could find an answer. |

| Entertaining way to get to know some of the darker side of Charleston's history. Our tour guide was a great storyteller, and had tons of energy. She showed us some interesting spots and told us some wonderful tales of some of the interesting characters from Charleston's past. |

| The Darkside of Charleston is certainly another way of looking at the Holy City. Our showed us another side of Charleston -- it is not a ghost tour but a view of the unsavory side of life. |

| The tour had a lot of potential but our tour guide Lane was really weird and gave us the creeps. He only told us about the the prostitution and seemed to take it all very personally. He completely left out the crime, corruption and murder except where it pertained to the one supposed brothel he brought us to. Also, at the end of the 90 minutes he told us the tour was over and left us. He didn't even bring us back to our starting point. We were left to fend for ourselves. I might recommend the tour with another guide but if you get Lane get your money back! |

| Our tour guide did a great job of taking us back in time, showing us where the town brothel was, where they hung and burned people, you can stand on the very spot that slaves were traded. He was from Charleston, his family was from there and he was full of knowledge. Great Tour, I'd recommend this to anyone. My husband was a bit skeptical at first and was questioning whether our guide was making stuff up as he went, but by the end of it, he was convinced there was no way he could make up that much. It's not something you get to do everyday, so if you have the time deffinately take the tour. |
