| This tour was a fun experience. It was the second time I had been on the tour and the stories were all new. It is not your normal history tour. Instead you learn about the sex, drugs, and lies that plauged Charleston throughout its history. You get to visit different places and learn their "interesting histories". I would definitley recommend this tour to anyone who doesn't have children along and doesn't mind a long walk. |

| I have lived in Charleston for 2 years and finally tried the Dark side of Chas tour and loved it. Our tour guide Lane was very knowledgeable not only just about the tour he was giving but others as well. One thing to take note is that this tour is not scary or a ghost tour it is only about some of the crimes and punishments that were harsh given back in the day. Overall the tour was great!! |

| Our guide, Lane, was extremely knowledgable about the historic and current City of Charleston. The tour balanced elements of historic past and local legend into a great story-telling adventure. The Darkside of Charleston provides a detail-rich, hands-on account of events that you cannot find in books; that is what makes it so intriguing. I would highly recommend this to any history enthusiast.

| The tour guide spend the bulk of the tour on a story about a resident of Charleston (he is researching for a book) . It was an interesting story, but in the end we only got a tour of one building which was a former house of prostitution. He did tell a few interesting stories, but seemed more focused on his writing career, than on actually giving a walking tour. |

| I would recommend the tour, it was fun and interesting. The tour guide knew what he was talking about. But be prepared to walk as it is a walking tour. Even for locals it is something fun to do. |

| My daughter and I had a blast. We didn't see any ghosts :-( but we did get to see a beautiful 500 year old tree. Lane did a great job, was incredibly knowledgeable and just had a great presence. |

| It was okay. The guide was interesting and animated. The topic was prostitution only, not other "dark side" topics we expected. We could have sat in an auditorium and saved the rubber on our shoes...or gone out to a nice dinner instead. |

| the tour guide was awesome and obviously loved history -
best "night" tour that i have done - and i have done a lot -
there is nothing really rated "R" about it - the history itself is sometimes gruesome - not for kids, but very interesting to adults - i think our whole group loved it -
WHERE COMFORTABLE SHOES - ground is unstable and it is DARK |

| Our guide gave us so much detailed information, including names and dates of the events. A week later and I'm still telling my friends and family members stories. We'll be sure to book another tour on our next visit to Charleston. |
