| My daughter and I had a blast. We didn't see any ghosts :-( but we did get to see a beautiful 500 year old tree. Lane did a great job, was incredibly knowledgeable and just had a great presence. |

| It was okay. The guide was interesting and animated. The topic was prostitution only, not other "dark side" topics we expected. We could have sat in an auditorium and saved the rubber on our shoes...or gone out to a nice dinner instead. |

| the tour guide was awesome and obviously loved history -
best "night" tour that i have done - and i have done a lot -
there is nothing really rated "R" about it - the history itself is sometimes gruesome - not for kids, but very interesting to adults - i think our whole group loved it -
WHERE COMFORTABLE SHOES - ground is unstable and it is DARK |

| Our guide gave us so much detailed information, including names and dates of the events. A week later and I'm still telling my friends and family members stories. We'll be sure to book another tour on our next visit to Charleston. |

| You can take a carriage ride and get a good, normal look at old Chalestown and new Charleston. If you want to know what went on while this historic city was being developed, take this tour and experience the not so politically correct side of life in colonial and civil war Charelston. |

| I must admit that I was super psyched about the tour after all the reviews. I was disappointed though because the tour lasted longer than expected but I wish it would have lasted longer. I feel there was a lot of information given but i wanted to hear so much more. After the Darkside tour, we immediately went to the Jail for another tour. The jail tour was not at all scary and nothing like i expected. It was not worth the money. I am not sure if it was the tour guide or the jail itself. I feel as though it might have been our tour guide. Another couple in the darkside tour said they had taken the jail tour and loved it. So I am assuming our tour was not exciting because of our tour guide. |

| Found the tour more realistic than many of the "ghost tours". |

| Well, there wasn't much walking on this walking tour. For an 1 1/2 time, we probably walked a good block or two. we mainly huddled in groups around tables as he read script from the pictures he showed us. The title fo the walking tour is a little deceiving as well. From the brief description one understood that there was talk of prostitution, brothels, and other taboo subject matter; however, there was nothing about murder, mystery, or many other stories. i Figure this tour was just okay. I did enjoy one of the three stories he told. I hope this was helpful. I would recommend the dungeon or graveyard tours moreso than this one. oh... plus, it said it was for mature audiences, but that must have just been for the words prostitution and transgendered b/c it wasn't very graphic. |

| The tour itself and the tour guide were fine. It was just that our expectations were different. We got interesting stories and a history lesson on Charleston. But we were expecting access to places the general public does not have, along with "Ghost" stories on the "Darker side of Charleston". Ironically, there was not one mention of a Ghost ... |

| First off, it appears that Zerve messed up. I bought (and was charged) on-line six adult tickets. When arriving at the Bulldog office, they were informed by Zerve (Bulldog's claim) that there were only two people on my reservation, not six. Since the city of Charleston has a limit on the number of folks on these walking tours, and there was now a total of 24 with our six), this was a big problem. Bulldog was very nice about it, they got four people to take a different tour and comp'ed them tickets for another tour on another day. Our tour started about 25 minutes late due to this problem.
About the tour itself. The guide was very knowlegable and humerous. But he talked rather softly and with a considerable southern accent which not all of us in our party was used to. Also many of his stops were where traffic was busy and/or loud which made hearing and understanding him even more difficult. |
