This tour was so much fun. The walking distance was nothing, not even a short workout! The history of Charleston is so interesting, I never thought that such scandalous, sleazy people founded the city! I'm only 20 and I absolutely hate textbook history - this tour, however, was absolutely intriguing. If only all of history were presented in such an interesting and entertaining way - I'd probably make all A's! I would recommend this tour to ANYONE - 17 or 97...as long as you can stand for an hour and a half! Weather you go solo or with a group...It's a tour well worth $17!

The tour was good and very informational. We felt a little misled by the online description of the tour. The description leads you to believe that it is a scary tour. Once on the tour we still had fun. It just wasn't what was expected. All in all I think it was fun and interesting. Good job!

I have lived in mount pleasant for 11 years and this was my first tour. Our tour guide was very informative, he knew his history. He put out there he was open to any comments or suggestions. You could tell he really enjoyed what he was doing so overall he was a good tour guide to have. We learned alot of neat information. It was a different take on charleston. My only complaint It was very difficult to hear him. It was not that he talked softly, just the manner in which he spoke. He knew so much information that it was hard to follow and I really had to listen to him. He knew his history and that was good.

The Dark Side of Charleston Tour was absolutely awesome!!!! Our tour guide was so fun and she was very knowledgeable reguarding the history and facts pertaining to the tour! We also took two other tours which were great too, but this tour was defenitely my favorite! I would very highly recommend this tour if you are ever in the Charleston area....it was worth every penny!

I was expecting this tour to be much more interesting. I guess it is my fault however for picking this tour over the others. I was hoping for ghost stories and this is not that at all. This tour tells stories of brothels and murders. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgable but not very interesting or even enthusiastic about it. If I was given the opportunity to take another tour by the company but in a different area, I would.

We had a wonderful tour guide who provided much information about Charleston and its lengthy history and secrets. We enjoyed this tour because it provided more information than a typical tour of the city. We had never visited Charleston, and we came away learning more about the city and its history than we anticipated. Our group (which ranged from age 23 to 70) would recommend this for anyone desiring to learn more about Charleston's evolvement from a seedy port town to a city oozing with Southern charm.

However, was disappointed in the fact that the tour was limited due to city ordanence/restriction. Thought that the advertisement should of stated something about the fact that tours where not allowed into residental areas after dark. Spent a lot of time on street corners in the dark with the tour guide pointing down one street or another without really getting near what was being discussed. Tour guide very gungho on the topic - also bonus since he was a local.

We had a lot of fun on our tour. Our tour guide really knew his stuff. I've always loved looking at the buildings around Charleston but hearing the stories about them really made it exciting. I was very pleased with tour and so were all of my friends.

| This was our second visit to Charleston and we wanted to take a tour that was not
boring and mundane. Well, we found it! This tour was informative, very interesting,
and very surprising in exposing the sorted past of what we had considered to be a
"proper, conservative southern city". Our guide, Lane, had a tremendous amount of information and historical facts. He took us to places where all sorts of things really took place and the evidence was still there. We went to a church grave yard at night
our guide was very respectful as well as very informative about the history of the church and the people buried in the graveyard. We would highly recommend this tour, it was fun and very well done. |
