The Darkside of Charleston Tour was a wonderful experience. Susan was a great tourguide and she had the best stories to tell. A great way to get know the less popular history of Charleston! |

Greatly enjoyed this tour and our guide. He had an extensive knowledge of the history of Charleston and conveyed it with passion. It was obvious that he did not have a script and was open to any specific interest of anyone in the group. It's not for children. My 16 year old daughter accompanied me and she loved it! I wouldn't ,however ,recommend it for anyone any younger. Excellent! |

The tour guide was fabulous! He knew a ridiculous amount of information about the seedy history of Charleston and really wanted input from the group on what our specific interests were so he could focus on those topics. He also had a great laid-back approach which made the tour more enjoyable bc you weren't being pushed along! |

The city of Charleston is beautiful and our guide, Lang, was very entertaining and informed. It truly is for adults though. The subject matter was, and the guides do not censor their language or terms. It lasted a perfect amount of time, and was a nice walk for anyone of any fitness level. |

Our group was relatively small so our guide made sure we knew that we could take our time and ask questions or to have him expand on anything that interested us. He made the tour interesting and had great stories. We actually asked few questions so the tour didn't go into overtime but the guide was perfectly willing, capable and enthusiastic about spending time and giving us a well rounded experience. |

This was by far my favorite tour. Our guide was excellent! He was a local who obviously had a deep interest and knowledge in the history of Charleston. He was more than willing to go deeper into any subject you had an interest in and he had keys to several sights. My only regret is that I didn't speak up about my interests in murders and those kind of corruptions. I know if I would have asked about it (or spoke up at the beginning when he asked if anyone had particular interests), he would have certainly gone more into that aspect. But he covered a wide range of topics that were truly facinating. I would definitely say if you have any interest in the darker side of history, this is a don't miss tour! |

My husband and I went to see the Darkside as our very first tour. Lane, our tour guide was excellent. He knew so much about the history of charleston and how he told the story was incredible. He explained everything in detail and brought us to the graveyard which is not something usually done on this particular tour. I would recommend this tour even if its your first. We can't wait to go back and do another one.
Wear sneakers though...alot of walking. |

Yes, it was a 10:30pm tour, I was tired. But our guide was just a bit too layed back. I understood and accepted that this tour was intended for adults only. But this ADULT dislikes the use of the "F" word. Which seemed to be a staple in our guides language. We walked alot, he talked some, what little info we got was interesting. I am sure the guy really does love the Charleston history. The Group started with 8 people ended with 4, people kept disappearing, AND I do not think it was supernatural in nature.. |
