| This is not a ghost tour. It is a history tour, but it was really great. I enjoyed every minute and only wished it could have lasted longer. Definitely a must if you're visiting Charleston and if you like the darker side of history! |

| The tour leader, Lane, mumbled, was monotone, no enthusiasm, and his stories "drifted off". I actually thought he was stoned on something - long pauses, staring into space, etc. At one point we were in a cemetery where there were 2 other tours going on, & I could tell by the little bit I heard from those tour leaders that they were much better. |

| My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Lane was our tour guide...he is one of Charleston's hidden treasures!! I learned so much more than I had expected and it was very interesting. Lane made sure that everyone got all their questions answered and addressed all of our interests. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to really learn about the darker side of the Holy City. |

| We had Lane for this tour and I would love to do another tour with him to "pick his brain" on all of the incredible and accurate knowledge he has of his hometown. His southern style just added to the enjoyment.
Unfortunately, there were several college-ish age people on our tour who were not as into the history (not enough edge and smut I guess) and would have done better with a ghost tour. This is definately for history buffs who want a little more of the guts of the story. I know I would have enjoyed it more with a more mature group that respected the knowledge that was being imparted to them, so any negetivity I felt about the tour had nothing to do with Lane or Bulldog Tours.
This is our forth tour with Bulldog and they have always been fantastic. Many different styles and Lane is one of the best. A bit tricky to understand with my "yankee ear" but as I said, that just added so much to the ambienc of the storytelling. Excellent and we will be back! |

| We very much enjoyed the Darkside of Charleston Tour. We had also taken the Ghost and Graveyards tour two days earlier and were somewhat disappointed by our guide. Big difference on the Darkside tour. We have been on several ghost walks in other cities and have found no matter what tour you take your experience is always determined by the guide |

| our guide was obviously well knowledged in content of history. however the delivery was slow, repetitive and hard to hear at times. we were bored most of the time.our guide entertained boring questions from some group members for too much our time. we felt like our money was wasted and left early. |

| Our Guide, Lane, was excellent!!! He covered many aspects of Charleston history with very interesting anecdotal and though-provoking stories. I was sad when the tour was over and wished it could have gone on longer. He really made the city come alive. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston and would go on it again myself to hear more other stories about Charleston's no-so-squeaky clean past. |
