Rating: 3 Lots of walking with only a few stops

The tour guide was excellent, and an excellent story teller. However, we really just walked a lot and visited only a few sites. The stories were very interesting and well told, but we would have enjoyed more stops with shorter stories.
Rating: 1 We did not make the tour

Parking was available at an extra charge. We left in plenty of time to have 30 minutes before the tour started. After calling the tour office we were told to find a place to park on Market St. That was impossible. We finally found a place on Church St which was about 1/2 mile away. We called the tour office and they directed us to them on foot. The tour had already left and my wife was on crutches but fairly mobile. After the 1/2 mile fast paced walk she was in no shape to "run" to catch the tour. We opted to just head on home and lose the tour fee. There was a total of 3 of us that didn't make the tour and 2 that did. The 2 that did said it was more of a history tour than a Ghost tour. We will not be rescheduling. Thank you Jim Moore
Rating: 2 Not so great

Our tour guide, 'Hoon, was rude at first rushing us through town without explanation, rude to teens on tour (not in our group), very flat presentation, off topic and not very entertaining. What could have been spooky and fun in the dungeon was more like a museum tour. Not recommended.
Rating: 4 Great atmosphere, stories, and history!

We very much enjoyed the ghost and dungeon tour. The guide did a great job telling stories and explaining the history of Charleston. My husband and I learned a lot and really had a great time. It was very interesting to see the actual dungeon -- we will never forget it! We definitely recommend this tour to others who would like to have a fun and educational night on the town in Charleston.

the tour was nice, our guide was knowledgable. We had been on a bull dog tour earlier in the year and had loved it, so we wanted to go on an other. Our tour guide was nice but didnt layout all of the facts. i did have to ask questions to try and get the whole story but you should enjoy this tour...if not you'll have taken some tiime off the night and walked your diner off...

Had a good time going into the dungeon. The tour information was pretty good.

I purchased my tickets for the wrong date, but the staff was very willing to help me switch tickets or refund them if I wanted. I didn't go on the dungeon tour, but my tour was awesome. The guide was an excellent storyteller.
Rating: 3 Rather dull

Hearing about the history of Blackbeard and Bonnett was interesting, but did not do much to enhance the atmosphere of a "ghost" tour. We felt the storytelling was a bit uneven, and inconsistent. We ducked out of the tour early rather than endure another pause and another story.
Rating: 5 Bulldog Ghost and Dungeon Tour was great!

We are a bit skeptical when it comes to ghost stories, but it was still a lot of fun to hear about them. We weren't scared at all, but there are plenty of creepy moments. The security that lets you into the Provost Dungeon is a good resource too. Be sure to go see it in the daytime! The city is beautiful at night and we were very comfortable walking by the graveyards with our large group. They even pass around some pictures to enhance their stories! I loved that they told you about all the haunts in the local hotels. They told us that really scary things can and do happen on the tours, but we had a very calm evening. The guides are very experienced and professional. Don't forget your camera because you can take all the pictures you want!
Rating: 2 Not worth the time or money...

We were concerned that our 7 and 10 year old girls would get scared... not even close. There was not one story that I can recall or would repeat. At the last stop of the tour the guide says "that's all folks" and points you towards Market Street. They do not take you back to the starting point. My feeling is that they are concerned that the next set of customers will see the disappointment on your face. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I would chose other ways to spend my time and money in the future.
