We enjoyed this a lot! Both my wife and I, as well as our 14 yr old had a great time. Our guide, Neal, was very knowledgable of the area and the local legends. If we would have been there longer than just 2 days we would have definately booked one of the other walks as well. A+!

| I think that a disclaimer that pictures can be taken in the Dungeon should be mention several times at the beginning of the tour. Many in our group were despondent when later the guide mentioned to us about taking pictures at the end of the tour.
Second, our guide (cannot remember her name) needs to lay off the following phrase: "With that in mind". It was so over used that by the end of the tour she had used it over hundred times. How do I know this? It became so droning that I began counting due to the huge distraction it was to everything she said. This is not some subtle critique for this guide, she really needs to cut it out or just stop giving tours. When the most memorable part of the tour is this phrase, it does not sell well for word of mouth recommendations or content of the history the tour provides. |

We are very interested in the supernatural, as well as history. My 8 year old son wanted to take a haunted tour, but gets scared easily. I e-mailed some questions to Bulldog tours and was pleased when they answered me back right away. After much research, we decided the Dungeon tour would be our best bet. It was the perfect choice. Our tour guide was outstanding. She was full of information and history. We were all very intrigued by the stories she told, even our son. This is a great choice for those with young children, as it's full of history, without being scary. I highly recommend this tour. I look forward to going back again and taking some of the other tours Bulldog tours offers.

Don't waste your money on this tour. The tour guide was rude and the stories provided are no better then what you can find by doing a little research on your own. I suggest to walk through historic Charleston and read the history boards attached to the homes that have stories to tell. Definately not worth the money.

We had a nice tour with a very friendly tour guide, however, I thought his stories were disjunct. It was an enjoyable time though especially the dungeon tour. It was interesting to see such an old building and the construction over this building.

Was neat to learn about the "haunted" side of Charleston. Loved the Dungeon - so much history in the building and I can't imagine what the prisoners experienced there. Tour was a fun way to spend an hour and 1/2. The guide kept us all entertained with his humor and wit. Can't wait to take my nephews on this tour when we visit Charleston again.

We thought we would be going into buildings and/or locations not just standing outside and hearing stories. While she did a good job telling the stories it just didn't have the wow factor that actually seeing the places inside would have. It would probably have been better if we'd gone at 9 so it would have been dark!

Franny, our guide, made the tour interesting, informative, and entertaining. My 12 year old son enjoyed the tour so much after complaining that I walked him to death on the beach at the Isle of Palms earlier in the day he never once complained during our 90 minute walk through downtown Charleston. He wants to come back, and do the Jail & Graveyard tour next time we go to Charleston.

I think the tour could have been good, but our tour guide wasn't. Very unenthusiastic, very few stories, lots of downtime and quiet time walking from one site to the next. We had been looking forward to this tour for a long time and were not happy with any part of it.
