informative but not very scary

I had a great time on the ghost and dungeon tour, although it was not as scary as I was expecting/hoping. We had a fabulous tour guide who was very knowledgeable about Charleston and was a great story teller. He really made the tour for us with his stories and delivery. I enjoyed getting to go into the dungeon under the Battery, something I otherwise wouldn't have done. I was hoping to be spooked out more, but I don't regret taking the tour. I learned a lot and still had a great time!

Not enough sights

Our tour guide was great, but for a 90 minutes tour, we saw very few places, and spent a lot of time standing/sitting listening to him tell stories. I wanted to see more of the city.

More of a Walk than Ghost Tour

For the promised hour and a half of the ghost tour we got 3 - 4 ghost stories totalling about 15 minutes and the rest was walking from location to location. The tourguide wallked so fast that you had to practically run to keep up. This tour was boring. The Dungeon was interesting as well as the history of the dungeon. I would have liked more stops on the way with interesting ghost stories. Even my teenage children where disappointed.

Good tour but more historic than scary

This was a good tour but not as scary as I thought. I would market it as more of a historic tour and focus on the Patriot. We were looking for something along the lines of the walking tour or the jail tour.

Do Not Buy Tickets in Advance!!

I purchased two tickets through Zerve for a Charleston Bulldog Ghost & Dungeon Tour. The night we had scheduled to go it was pouring rain. Firstly, the venue did not sell umbrellas and the girl I spoke with did not know where to buy them either. Seeing as we did not have any umbrellas, nor did not have any desire to get soaked in the downpour, we inquired about a refund. She informed me that because I had purchased tickets through Zerve, an outside seller, I could not receive a refund. This seems confusing as the website leads you to Zerve to purchase the tickets so I had no reason to believe they were not affiliated with Bulldog Tours. Beyond this, the girls at the desk were not very helpful and did not seem to care if we went on their tour or not, and certainly did not seem bothered by the fact we were very unhappy with their company at this point. Also, I heard one of the ladies at the front desk instruct people later on as to where to go to get an umbrella! This would have been helpful if they would have told us this when we asked. If we would have had an umbrella, we would have been much more likely to go, seeing as we could not receive any sort of refund or compensation. The customer service is extremely lacking and, because of this, I cannot say that I can recommend Bulldog or Zerve to anyone else. We were excited to go on the Ghost & Dungeon Tour; however, disappointment soon overshadowed our enthusiasm.

It rained on our tour so it was quick and wet. We had a great time though.

Ghosts and dungeon

The ghost and dungeon tour was very good. The guide was very knowlegdable However, since it was raining, I felt that the guide rushed the tour. Instead of the 90 minutes that was advertised it took about 60 minutes and we felt that we had run a marathon by the time we were finished. We would definitely take this tour again if we return to the area, but hopefully at a slower pace.

My family and I enjoyed our tour. The 90 minute tour went by quickly with just the right amout of standing and then walking. We enjoyed seeing and hearing about a different side of Charleston.

We enjoyed walking around the city, but the tour was not that great. Our tour guide thought he was really funny, but wasn't.
