Enjoyed the ghost tour

My husband and I enjoyed the ghost and dungeon tour. Rebel Sinclair, our tour guide, was very personable and entertaining. The ghostly stories were equally gruesome and eerie. Thanks! The Billiots from Louisiana

We took 3 of Bulldogs tours and this one was by far the absolute best. Our tour guide Rebel Sinclair was fantastic. She really new her stuff. I loved all the stories she told us, being a writer she knows how to tell stories. The one about the man who hung himself in the 3rd floor office was great, but the dungeon itself was fasinating. She really got into the history and background of the people who were imprisoned there. We enjoyed her tour the best.

Worth it

Although I did enjoy this tour, it wasn't quite as enjoyable as the Graveyard tour. Provost Dungeon (as seen in a special about haunted places in Charleston on a popular cable channel) was a definite highlight and it added to the overall experience. There certainly was an eerie feeling walking through it! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting.

We had fun, but it seemed a little silly to me. I still don't believe in ghosts!

We actually went on the Charleston Ghost and Graveyard tour. This "ghost tour" was interesting, but not in the least bit scary. I did not get any chills. So, if you enjoy history and do not want to get scared this is the tour for you:)

Could it be possible?

Do spirits from the past haunt historic Charleston? I never saw any when I took the 7 p.m. Ghost and Dungeon tour with my husband. If you want to take this tour because you enjoy fear, skip this tour. But if you want to learn some Charleston history and take a guided walk, then this is the trip for you. Taking lots of pictures is encouraged. Our tour began in the daylight at the Rainbow Market. The guide took us to a graveyard. You are not allowed in the graveyard but he tells a ghost story about it. Our guide stopped often to tell us about other possible haunted sites including the duel alley, where a woman lost her husband and son with just one bullet. Throughout the tour, our guide always ended his lectures with: Could it be possible that this place is haunted? Are these spirits returning? On the way to the dungeon (the tour’s last official stop) our guide paused near the harbor and told some stories about pirates who seized Charleston. He pointed out where the pirate ships once sailed and where they once blocked Charleston ports. By this time it was dark. Decorative lantern lights, lit our path. As the guide finished his story he told us that a certain pirate haunted the dungeon: Stede Bonnet. He ended his story with the: Could it be possible lines, and as he reached over to pick up his sack, one of the lamps along the walkway blew out with a faint pop. Inside the dungeon the guide told stories about the capture of pirates and their confinement to the dungeon. As I stood on the brick floor I felt a jolt to my foot like someone thumped the floor beneath my heel right as the guide pointed that a chain behind me always swings on its own. I said nothing because children were also on the tour. But now I wonder, “Did the spirit of Stede Bonnet strike my leg? Could it be possible?”

My little cousins really enjoyed the ghost and dungeon tour. I really enjoyed the storytelling and the facts to back them up.

This tour provided a look at some of the popular ghost stories from Charleston as well as a tour of the dungeon. Tour guide was funny and enthusiastic. Would recommend.
