This was our second vacation in the Charleston area. This time we brought our entire family and had them all excited to do a famous Charleston Ghost Tour. We had done one a couple years ago with another company and really enjoyed it. After asking around and checking the Internet, we decide upon the Bulldog Tour Group. We bought 11 tickets online and showed up in anticipation of an exciting evening. Unfortunately, our tour was less than exciting. The tour guide spent all his time telling us stories without showing us much of any of the haunted sites except for the dungeon. Aside from the dungeon experience, which was cool to go through, the rest of the tour was very disappointing to us. We felt cheated out of the $16 or so we paid for each ticket. Therefore, I would have to give this tour a very low rating, as I wish we would have picked another group and tour to go with. |

Our tour guide was energetic with his storytelling. The three of us in our group were not thrilled at all with the lack of gore or scare factor! This tour was not worth the price that we paid. |

The tour was nice enough. My two children and I enjoyed different aspects of the evening. I would have rather heard more about the local ghosts and not so much about our tour guides personal ghostly encounters. My children, on the other hand, enjoyed her tales quite a bit. With all the other walking tours going on at the same time, we were disappointed when we were unable to approach one of the sites we had stopped to discuss (which was a graveyard). When we returned to the city to find it the next day, we could not. However, Charleston at night was lovely and the walks by the many different galleries was splendid. For a one time experience, I would recommend it to anyone. For us, I will probably not feel it is worth the cost to do again. |

The tour guide herself was quite knowledgable about the area and the history. She did a good job with the tour. The issue I had is that the one dungeon was really the only sight we got to see firsthand. I would recommend a different tour so that more areas could be seen. |

We enjoyed the tour very much. I took my 12 year old daughter and niece, and my 7 year old son. Our tour guide, Cathy, was an excellent story teller and knew her information very well. We would have liked to hear more about the ghostly activities and what the spirits do to make their presence known. I thought it was a little heavy on the gore, but the kids seemed to like that part. We look forward to taking the other tours offered by Bulldog Tours. |

The tour was boring and uneventful. The tour was advertised at rated R and it was more like G. Even young children would have been bored on the tour. My boyfriend and I started making up our own stories because the ones we were hearing weren't exciting enough. |

Our guide was well informed and quite knowledgeable of the ghost stories of Charleston. Whether or not you believe in spirits, it's an entertaining way of exploring Charleston and discovering some of its history not likely found in a tour book. |

Eric our tour guide was interesting but not very engaging. You could tell he'd done the tour many times and he had his routine down pat. We did the tour for the kids (and there were a number of other kids there also) and they became bored quickly because Eric did the ghost stories as a 'museum' style tour guide would for adults and not for the younger set. The tour had only 4 stops, which was deeply disappointing, I would have thought that an old town like Charleston would have plenty of places to show off their ghost tales. The dungeon is a complete waste, it could be any underground place in town. Not to say that the tour was a complete letdown, it was fun to walk around town and see some of the old buildings. We knew we weren't on a historical tour but this tour could have been much better if some history was thrown in while we were walking to each stop and if the stories were geared toward the kids and letting them be more entertained. |

We enjoyed our tour with our family. Our daughter thought it was fun walking through parts of the city. Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the tour. The stories we heard were interesting. |
