It's nighttime in Charleston; time for ghostly fun

We had an enthusiastic tour guide who knew the history and stories of the area quite well. He interacted with each group within the party, and allowed us to stop along the way for more details and stories. The access to the dungeon was what sold me on this tour. It's a really neat place, and the stories associated with it were interesting, even to this skeptic. I enjoyed the tour, and would recommend it to anyone.

If you like old ghost stories and hearing that there are several places that are haunted in Charleston then this is the tour for you. You don't get to go into any places and you have no proof it's really haunted. It was kind of a boring tour but if you like history then it would be the tour for you.

Mildly Interesting

My husband and I decided to do a few tours before we left the area. This particular tour would have been better if we went later in the evening. It was still daylight when we went. Overall, it was an okay tour with some interesting tales but it's difficult to get spooked when it is still daylight outside.

We had a wonderful tour with Stephen. He had a vast knowledge of history and was an excellent story teller. We would definitely recommend the tour to others.

We had David and he was great. He was very enthusiastic and a great storyteller. He was also very knowledgeable about all the stops on the tour. They way he told the stories made each one memorable. The stories were compelling and also brought along alot of information about life during the time the stories took place. I had forgotten my camera that night and the next day we were able to find all the spots we had been to and took pictures then. It gave us a great feel for Charleston and the history that makes it such a fascinating place to visit. Thank you!

We took a total of five tours on this trip to Savannah/Charleston. I don't think it was the tour guide. She was well rehearsed in her material. The tour seemed like "filler" to us. It was stories repeated from other tours. We walked ALL over town, yet only visited ONE dungeon, which basically was a brick room with Pirates of the Caribbean figures in it. We saw some graveyards from the outside, while other tours we saw that night went inside the graveyards. It was very lame compared to the other tours I took that week. We were very disappointed in this tour. Do the other tours this company offers, but leave the Ghost and Dungeon Tour off the list. Not worth your money.

We really enjoyed our tour. I found it to be very informative. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had a great time and plan on taking other tours they offer.

Not adequately described.

This tour is described as being an experience children should not be taken on. Yet, I think that Disney could scare some kids more than this tour did. As a matter of fact, children were with us on the tour- they seemed quite fine. The tour director was an excellent story teller, however I believe if there were more stories told with actual horror involved this tour might have provoked more terror. Instead this tour mildly interested me, involving little goblin activity. Three stories were told; I was expecting to hear much more than this. The tour director spent the entire time telling us that if we wanted real horror we needed to go on the Haunted Jails tour. Sound like a money making scheme to anyone? Yet, this is the only Ghost Tour in Charleston with access to the Dungeon- which, according to our pictures, did seem to have some paranormal activity. Overall, this tour was just not as described but did have some good qualities.

We enjoyed our Ghost and Dungeon Tour this week and would highly recommend it. Our tour guide was quite the story teller (Cathy) and made the excursion fun and exciting. We brought our two children (ages 8 & 10) and they very much enjoyed the tour and were not scared. The stories themselves are a bit creepy, sad - but very interesting. The tour gets a bit long and our children got tired by 1015pm - so keep that in mind. Also, bring bottled water - it's still hot as blazes in Charleston at 9:00 in the evening!

The story telling was too long and too few stories to tell. Not enough visuals. Only the dungeon was valuable and worth while
