My daughter and two teenage granddaughters went on this tour. It was interesting and informative, but I would not take it again. Our guide was not very enthusiastic and the ghost stories seemed contrived. Later after researching the "ghosts", I found some of the stories were not even accurate. The stories were told in parking lots with hurried walks in between. We took the 9:30 tour. One walk through a graveyard with an interesting story told there. However, most stories were accompanied by pictures shown by the guide instead of actual sites.

The guide seemed very knowledgeable on local history, and the story telling was engaging. The area is a bit crowded with the other "haunted" tours and there are many areas that are not accessible at night (as to not disturb the residents). However, it was an enjoyable and leisurely way to start exploring the historic district. I would recommend that you do the tour in the spring or fall - we did it in mid-July, and even at 10pm, the area is very hot and muggy.
Rating: 4 Well worth it!

We really enjoyed our Ghosts and Graveyards tour. Our tour guide was very interesting and informative. She took the time to answer any questions our group had at any time. We learned alot about the history of Charleston, as well as, the ghosts that are still said to be around. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and interesting tour.

Although the tour was informative and our guide knowledgeable, the tour was not what we expceted. I attended with two nine year-old boys who were bored until the last few minutes and then they were scared due to the last story of a child buried alive. I have new, though arcane, knowledge regarding the difference between a cemetery and graveyard. I now know that a Vice President is buried in Charleston three times over and that the good citizens of Charleston are still upset about the outcome of the Civil War. Recommend - I doubt it.
Rating: 5 Highly recommend

I would highly recomend the ghost and graveyard tour. We had a fantastic tour guide who worked really hard to educate and involve the group in the stories. I look forward to more tours in the future.

We took the Ghost and Graveyard tour on Sunday June 24th at 9:30 pm. The departure location was very easy to find. Our tour guide, Rebel Sinclair, was very enthusiastic and obviously interested in the subject matter. She made the tour very interesting, although nothing out of the ordinary (paranormal) was seen. The headstones were especially neat ... bring your flashlight. There were several other tours going on, and some of the areas became congested, however, overall it was an enjoyable tour. *Ask for Rebel. She made it very worthwhile!
