Not worth it

Our tour guide had about as much enthusiasm as the ghosts we didn't see (not that we expected to, but seriously, humor me a little). The cemeteries were interesting, but you can go see them for free.

The ghost tour was entertaining but not too scary

While we enjoyed the walking tour and listening to the stories, we were expecting the levelof stories to be a little scarier and a little more ghoulish than what was delivered. However, we felt that since there were children in the group the guide may have tempered his stories somewhat. we still felt the tour was worth the money we spent and would certainly recommend it to others.

great memories for grandmothers/granddaughters

This was our first annual grandmothers/granddaughters trip and we chose Charleston. When I asked the teens what their favorite activity was, they named the Ghost Tour and the Carriage Ride. Our guide for the ghost tour was excellent! Would do again!

Our tour was fun and educational. Our tour guide (I believe it was Suzanne), was very knowledgeable and respectful of the "spirits".

We had a great time on our ghost tour! It was interesting to learn so much history. Going into the cemetery was spooky, but not scary- our youngest son ( age 8 ) was even excited! "Hoon" Calhoun was the BEST!

My wife took our two sons (age 12 and 9) on their first ghost in the graveyard tour! The boys loved the ending (when we got to the graveyard) and had the opportunity to look inside a key hole at a tomb! The flying bats added to the experience! Had a great time.

Ghost Tour

The tour was informative and fun. The only distraction was the fact that there were so many other tours going on at the same time.

Ghostly Good Time

Our family throughly enjoyed the easy walk through the alleyways and graveyards in the historic Charleston District. The stories and information were presented with enthusism by our guide Susan and we learned a great deal of the burial habits and challenges associated with tending to the dead hundreds of years ago.

Interesting but less exciting than jail tour
Fri, Jul 16, 10   7:30 PM ericawbaker Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
This was a good tour for families with older children. It was interesting and covered a few cool stories, but I don't think we got to see enough cool locations or anything that seemed likely haunted. We really enjoyed a previous tour of the haunted jail, which was a lot more nerve wracking. I think the building tours are best for haunting because you can feel something in the air. However this tour was good for seeing the town. Our guide was Sarah and she was very personable, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Overall a good experience.

Tour guide was not very guide

Our tour guide on the 13th of July was Suzann. She spent too much time on her stories and did not incorporate enough history into them. I like ghost tours because of the interwoven history - this being a way to keep the kids interested and make it educational - and there was very little of that from Suzann. In fact, her history was often flat wrong. For example, from her version, Col Wm Rhett lived for over 150 years because he built a house in Charleston in 1713 that still stands today whose address is so-and-so and he also was a civil war hero. She also did not seem to know that revolvers were not invented during the Revolutionary War or before. It was overall kinda hokey. When she thought she was losing our attention (and she was often doing this) she would yell and try to scare you with a loud exclamation of some sort. I also did not think it was much of a "tour" - we only covered 5 or 6 blocks total. I would liked to have walked more, heard more and shorter stories and less long, drawn-out stories. Suzann was nice and I am sorry to write a poor review but I feel folks should be forewarned.
