| We had a great guide -- he told some wonderful stories and kept the group involved throughout the entire walk -- but there wasn't anything really scary about it......
...would have been better if there were less people in the group. We had 17 people, and it took a long time for everyone to catch up when it was time for the guide to talk. |

Well worth the hour and a half and $$$$$

My sister and I had watched the Ghost Hunters regarding Charleston and we were very anxious to go on this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the "goings on" at each site. We enjoyed it very much.

Kids drove me nuts begging to take the tour and I begrudgingly gave in. Turns out, the tour was actually fun and the kids had a blast (ages 9 & 11). Wasn't "haunted house" kind of scary but a few of the stories were kind of spooky/thought provoking. Glad we chose the tour that gets to go into the graveyard as there were a couple of other ghost companies that had to stand outside the gates. Kids kept us up 'til midnight with their ghostly insights.

Guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Very entertaining and worthwhile. One of the best tours of this type I have taken!

I'd go just to get into the graveyard.

As they advertise, Bulldog is the only tour company that gives you access to a local graveyard, which is great. Other than getting into the graveyard, the tour just wasn't as good as I expected. There are about 5 other groups from misc tour companys at the same place at any given time and they are all giving various versions of the same story or different stories. I think the majority of the problem was our tour guide, who was a little pixieish girl. Her stories were not historically accurate and her delivery wasn't really good enough for a ghost and graveyards guide. It was a neat walking tour of the city, pointing out a few churches and seeing the graves at night, but don't expect scary stories.

Other tours are probably better than Bulldog

This tour is interesting however we had a 20-something tour guide who studdered and botched stories the whole time. Only went to 3 locations and actually was quite bored. It's more historical than intriguing but the lack of facts kind of made it seem cheesy. I think the Ghost Hunt tour by candle light would have been better-this was too main stream...my group was bored.

We live locally and when family visit the teens like to go on these Ghostwalks. Me too I'll admit. I highly recommend the jail and the dungeon but was disappointed with the cemetary walk. I guess I was expecting more of actually being in the cemetaries. But I understand them being locked to avoid vandals.

The tour was good, but our guide was more focused on being witty and providing his opinions on life that we really only heard one story about the ghost activity in Charleston. The upside is that we got more time to explore the graveyard because he wasted so much time talking about the different areas of Charleston and their crime rates that we were last in there.

We loved it very much. One thought would be to warn people about bugs. Skeeters!
