Tour guide seemed knowledgable in a "history teacher" sort of way, but not a great storyteller. Stories were drawn out too much, and we began to lose interest. We've been on many other tours in the area, and were a bit disappointed with this one. |

My wife and I took my oldest son and his friends for his birthday.
the tour guide was great with young teenagers, the kids had a great time and got to learn things about charleston that you will not find on other tours (we have been on most of the tours and the jail and cemetary are the best) |

We were in town from Montana at a seminar. Two of us decided to try your tour after reviewing information on your website. Our tour guide was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, engaging, and just fun to be around. I would recommend this tour to anyone. |

Tour guide was great. It is always a big plus when you guide is born and raised in the town where you are taking a tour. |

Spent the first half of the tour standing in a parking lot listening to the guide going on about how the tour was going to be. They take you to remote locations, then tell you about what you would see if you could go further. Take the haunted jail tour and save yourself some time. We actually left after 40 minutes of boring stories. The guide dosen't even give you time to take pictures. |

Great fun and lots of creepy moments! Hoped to see a ghost but oh well, maybe someday. Our guide Steven had a cool skull-head walking stick, was personality-plus, and, boy, could he tell a story! We were standing in that graveyard drenched in sweat, but we still got cold chills! Not a hard walk at all, with lots of stops for story-telling. We would recommend this for everyone! (P.S. Watch out for Zoe!) |

Okay....yes....I know the guides are supposed to know their "stuff" BUT my mind was blown away by all the facts and stories our guide shared with us! ...even the "tongue in cheek" info was done with a sparkle in his eye and a smile on his face which made it digestable! :o) I'm not exagerating either when I say great way to spend an evening - it's just long enough, good mixture of fun facts with actual stories - the actual stories really make you think as you're standing in a graveyard! Which brings me to my close...do YOU know the difference between a graveyard and a cemetary??? ....I do 'cause I took the tour!! Thanks for the memory added to my Charleston trip! |

It was our 5th time- and as good as ever. Every year the guides tell some of the same stories and some new ones- but even the same ones have a different twist.
It is a "must" while in Charleston. |

I was slightly skeptic about the entertainment value of this tour after reading some reviews, but my family and I had a really good time!!! The tour guide was slightly quiet and although she started off saying that she's the type of guide that tells her stories with humor, she was simply informational...not much humor involved. But this wasn't disappointing; the stories were interesting to hear and although they were not scary while we were on the tour - My 21 year old daughter, 17 year old son, and I freaked out after getting back to the hotel. Talking about all the ghost stories got us scared enough to have to sleep with the lights on!!! Overall, a very fun activity that you definfitly have to try when in Charleston! |
