| I've been on a few ghost tours both in Savannah and New Orleans and the Haunted Jail Tour in Charleston was the best ghost tour I've been on. Suzanne was our tour guide and she was AMAZING! She was an incredible story teller and it was obvious that she loves giving the jail tours. She absolutely made that tour. Getting to go inside of an old, dark jail at night was super creepy and added to what was an already fantastic tour. I would absolutely take this tour again and will be sure to take other tours through this company. |

| The tour was very interesting. Our tour guide, Suzanne, was very knowledgable and "theatrical." This was my second time on the tour and I can say that I was not bored and this tour guide had a different spin on the jail than the previous one. The only thing I would suggest would be even more specific stories (if known) about certain people who spent time in the jail rather than the vaguity of how much disease there was being the main focal point. Overall a great tour and great tour guide! |

| My entire family and I thought this tour was a total bust. The content was a joke. The guide gave us some very basic information about the building itself and who generally was jailed there. Beyond that, we learned only that a bunch of ghost enthusiasts have visited the jail on many occasions and sensed the presence of spirits. Not at all scary or interesting. Save your money, this tour just isn't worth it. |

| The jail was neat but the tour guide went on and on. I thought she would never stop. Seemed as if she was just trying to fill up the 45 minutes. She had also stated that the prisioners who were held in the jail had to bear the heat and the cold without any warmth. She said that only the jailers and people who worked there were kept from the elements and had fireplaces, yet when we were in the area that housed the cells there were 4 fireplaces in each corner. It leaves me wonder what other information was incorrect. |

| Was actually spooked by the tour, but not so much that I couldn't enjoy dessert later on! Our tour guide, Suzann, was a wealth of knowledge and really seems to enjoy the tour, and takes into account the presence of children, of which there were several in our group. |

| I took my 15 year old step daughter, and my mother-in-law (age 63). It was a fantastic time.( My daughter actually stopped "texting"!! ) And with the it being a historical tour, made it more frightening and fun. We will definitely be back!
Thank you,

| Overall, my son and I enjoyed the jailhouse tour, but would liked to have been able to see more areas of the jail. The more areas you spend time in, the more chances to be able to encounter spirits. Also, there was a lot of clutter in the basement creating somewhat of a safety hazard in the dark. Other than that, we enjoyed the tour. |

| Went on an 8pm tour with my 3 kids, ages 14, 11, 9 on Tues 4/5/09. My kids enjoyed our tour guide (forgot her name!), who made the tour interesting and fun for them. She used my son as a demonstrator for the hanging ropes, which made it especially fun for him. It wasn't too scary - just a bit - for my 9 year old. It was a bit pricey, but thought it was a unique experience for them and would make Charleston memorable. My only negative comment is that it is unnecessarily difficult to have to check in at the Market office 45 minutes prior to the start of the tour at the jail, which is 6 blocks away - and it's 6 blocks that I wouldn't want to walk because the neighorhood is questionable. I drove my car to the check-in location and left it at a parking meter - parking is very difficult around the market - then drove to the jail, which had free parking. It was pitch black - no lights in the jail - except for the tour guide's flashlight. Bring your camera and hope to get some Glowing Orbs in your photos - we did not, but others in our group did. We took some video too - of my son in the hanging ropes - so we could convey a sense of it to mom back at the hotel. |

| We really enjoyed the haunted jail tour. Our tour guide, I wish I could remember her name, was awesome. She made it really fun and the sudden jumps she would make and the stories/history she gave were interesting. We are planning on going back and taking another tour, possibly through the cemetary....maybe.....yikes..... |

| We took the 8:00 tour with AJ as our guide. AJ did a great job, and had just the right mix of historic info, humor and scary stories. Some of his personal experiences in the building were enough to scare all of us even if we didn't see or hear anything from the "spirits" on this tour! We didn't catch any of the orbs in any of our pictures, but another girl in our group did get some interesting shapes showing up in her pictures.
We picked this tour because it would take us inside an old building instead of just walking around town or through a graveyard. I'm glad we chose this one and I would recommend it to others. We really enjoyed it! |
