| I thought it was a great tour and my 14 year old son and I really enjoyed it. It is a very spooky old jail and the real stories of jail life, torture...etc were scary enough. I would definitely do it again. |

| This tour was good but I thought we'd get to see more of the jail. Also, they allow cameras on this tour, which is fine but it was a HUGE distraction. When you have 15 people taking pictures one after another after another it seemed like flashes were going off every second of the tour. One little boy on our tour got sick and I think it was front all the flashes. |

Less than expected, more like a hoax.

| The tour was not terrible, but was less than I expected. The overall "scare" factor could have been improved had the tour guide not tried to intensionally scare you through their clapping and stomping, which made the tour seems more of a hoax. More than that, now that the jail is owned by a local college which holds classes within the jail, the interior is beginning to seems less authentic with certain rooms boarded up for class space plus random equipment like riding mowers in the basement give the sense that its all intended to be a prank. Though the tour guide felt the college would continue to allow the tour because they get a percentage of the ticket price, I feel that if "modernizing" the jail continues the less interested people will be about the whole experience, not to mention the fake scare tactics used by the tour guides. |

| Holy cow - when they say "not for easily frightened adults" THEY'RE NOT KIDDING! Honestly, the description of this tour does it NO justice - WAY CREEPIER than captured. Most of the tour is spent in dark, barely moonlight rooms, and the ambience really heightens your senses FOR A TOTAL FREAK OUT. From the moment I walked into the jail I wanted to leave, but I sucked it up silent and shaking until we were finally out.
If you're looking to get spooked - THIS IS THE TOUR! I have participated in two ghost and dungeon tours and will tell you it is for sissies compared to this one!
Had amazing tour guide (woman - forgot her name I was so scared!) and got pics of TONS of orbs and wierd shadows ... one of our cameras also went dead right before we went in ONLY to turn right back on as soon as the tour was over - AHHHHHH! |

| I enjoyed this tour with 7 friends and every single person thoroughly enjoyed it. We actually did the 11:30pm tour on Halloween night, which made it even more creepy! Our tour guide was fantastic (AJ I think?)...he was both extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he told us. What makes this tour so incredible is the history. Hearing about everything that went on in the jail was very enlightening (and revolting!). For those people who are looking for a good scare, just remember that this is not a haunted house style affair. There are no gimmicky special effects or whatnot...it is scary because it is a certified haunted building--horrible things happened in it and strange and supernatural things continue to happen it. I can tell you that every single person in my group, at some point or another, got the chills. As soon as you step foot inside the building, the air is distinctively different. Call me crazy, there is just a sense of evil about the ol' place! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. I'm a local girl and I definitely intend to make this trip many more times. |

| This was the first time I have taken one of these haunted tours. I loved it and got some good pictures. The next time I travel I'll be looking for these types of haunted tours again! |

| I recently went on this tour on Halloween with a group of friends; the tour itself was well done. The guide, A.J., had excellent delivery, and the tour was well thought out. The jail building was intriguing. The experience was, however, someone spoiled by the other people on the tour; the constant flashes of cameras (frequently aimed right at people's faces) were blinding and downright dangerous on the stairs, one of the other tour members was hanging off of/groping the rest of us, and another was making god awful noises constantly. Banning photography in the jail itself and figuring out some sort of crowd control would make the experience much more pleasant. |

| We had a great time on the Haunted Jail tour. It wasn't scary, but was very interesting and fun to see inside the old jail. It was one of the best tours we went on. |
