The Charleston Haunted Jail Tour

I would like to let you all know that on my second tour through your company I have been thoroughly impressed. Our tour guide on this tour was absolutely fantastic. She was a great story teller and handled the ghostly situations that arose during our tour with the calm needed to keep everyone of all ages in our group happy. I will recommend this tour to anyone who visits Charleston. Plus the pictures and video clips from our tour when we got home truly made our tour that much scarier. Thank you.

This tour was great. It was a true eye opener when it comes to the history. The tour guide is fabulous. I like the fact that half of the admission money goes to the building to restore. I wish we saw more rooms but its understandable with the current transformation that the jail is undertaking. Thanks for a great event.

My husband and I both enjoyed the haunted jail tour. It was more history, which we enjoyed, not particularly scary, but it was fun. We would not recommend walking from the Bulldog Tours office to the jail, though, unless you're with a group. We were walking alone and we felt nervous and unsafe.

This is the second time we have done the jail ghost tour and have had a blast each time. Its always informative and fun.

Tour was not scary, but still creepy to be in an old jail at night. the information and history provided by the guide was very interesting and informative, just not pleased with the guide herself. Found her abrasive and, although full of tidbits of info, lacking in skills to make the tour a true "haunted jail tour".

This was my second time on the tour and the first time was really good and even scary. I recommend that my parents come this time and it was not very good. It was more history and not creepy at all. The tour guide was different and although very knowledgeable, he did not make it about ghost at all. Also some of the rooms had the lights on.

My wife and I enjoyed our tour of the Old Charleston Jail. The tour guide was informative, and the jail was very creepy - especially on a pitch black night. Worth the visit.

Our guide told us spine tingling facts of the horror and inhumanity that took place in each room we toured. In one of the basement rooms of the jail where particularly gruesome acts were committed, I photographed something positively paranormal. I'm not kidding.

We had a blast and would do this tour again!
