| the guide was better. Ours quite frankly struck me as he'd just thrown down a few adult beverages. He spent a lot of time talking (rambling) that could have been used with us exploring the jail. The time we actually spent in the jail was minimal and that's what we came to see.
We did get a couple of "orb" photos. If we'd stirred up more dust inside we'd have gotten more, lol...
In summary, this should be renamed Jail Tour (ditch the Haunted) and I think it's worth about 10 bucks a head. |

| Our guide was Suzanne and she was great, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I managed to capture several orbs in some of my photos of when we toured some rooms of the jail. This one was the most scariest and pretty eerie out of the other ghost tours I've been on in Charleston. Def. would recommend this one! |

| This was my second Bulldog tour. This tour seemed very limited as far as touring the facility. There was not much in the jail to actually see. It was educational but not scary in the least. I preferred the dark side tour over this one. |

| Though we did not find the Old Jail Tour to be scary, we still enjoyed ourselves and thought it was fun. Our tour guide, Suzanne, did an excellent job and made the tour worthwhile. Would recommend taking the 9:00 or 10:00 tour. |

| On one hand, the location was absolutely incredible. Wow! What stories could be told! What history! I can't help but feel as though we only grazed the surface of all the history in such a wonderful locale.
On the other hand, the tour guide was not very polished. He kept saying "of course" throughout his presentation - even when it made no sense - as if he was using it in place of something like "uh"...I'm not sure. During our short tour I would guess that he used "of course" over 100 times. In itself it is pretty amazing how many times he said it. He just seemed very young and unpolished. It took away from the experience for us and for a few other people I overheard talking.
Don't get me wrong. I will recommend the tour. I will also, of course, hope that the tour guide is better at presenting the material (and story telling). |

| We enjoyed this tour; scheduling for after dark made it especially "spooky." The guide (AJ) was enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy his presentation. The total cost was very reasonable in comparison to many other guided tours in the Charleston area. |

| It was a hot stormy night to start with. Our tour guide was an excellent story teller, and the factual history she gave as an introduction was interesting and scary in its own way. Once inside the dark halls of the jail your imagination just runs away with you. Dark shadows moving in the empty rooms, cool air blowing your hair from a dark windowless cell, and down in the lowest level a feeling of being watched and followed had me and my very mature, grown up friends, screaming out loud. It is really a weird place, but for the paranormal explorer or even a history buff like me, you gotta check it out. |

| Not only is this building creepy, but the guide we had was fantastic. She was entertaining, knowledgeable, and full of energy. She knew her stuff. Definitely a fun way to spend an hour or so. Make sure you go after dark! |

| When we got to the jail, I thought oh my gosh what have I talked myself into doing. But once the tour started, I was disappointed. Down in the basement, you can tell the noise was a set up by other employees because you heard them outside laughing when they made the noises.
For me, I was miserable. Didn't know we would walk through some grass (little bit not much) and I got attacked by mosquitoes. The Jail is not A/C which I did not think about so it was extremely hot inside.
I advise not to do this tour during the hottest days. And do the tour at night, it is more fun because there is not much lighting in the building. The history of the jail is very fascinating. But as for being scary...I don't see where it is. |
