| I took my 13 year old daughter to this and we had a great time. We took the tour at night which was awesome. The tour guide gave us lots of information on the history of the building & people in the jail, stories about prisoners, who owns the building now, ect. We found it to be creepy and exciting inside the jail. My daughter walked away with wanting to learn more about a certain prisoner by the name of Lavinia Fisher. |

| I really liked the tour, however, I would have liked to have seen more scary things and gone on a longer tour... possibly to the basement. Our tour guide was wonderful, but talked really fast, so it was hard to understand a lot of it. We had a very big group which also made it very difficult to see. There were a few things that I would have liked to seen on the walls that I could not. I would also recommend not sending adults with children. Our group was full of maybe 13 year old girls would acted silly the whole time, so it was difficult to get the full effect. Overall, we had a good time though. |

| My anticipation of being scared was worse than the actual.
Our tour guide Susan was fabulous!!! She has a great voice for this tour and she certainly knows her facts about the jail. We did not experience any spirits but I do beleive they reside in and around the jail. |

| A group of 8 friends recently attended the jail tour. We all agreed that the tour was a little disappointing. Although our tour guide had a lot of interesting facts to share, he spoke very quickly and it was hard to process everything that he was saying. It almost seemed as though he wanted to finish the tour as quickly as possible. The tour ended very abruptly and there was no time for qeustions. We felt that the tour was over-priced at $17. A more realistic value would have been closer to $10. Despite all the negative comments, the jail is an interesting place to tour, but don't expect to be scared as the tour is just factural info. |

| my husband and I were looking forward to our ghost tour of the jail for weeks. When we arrived in Charleston we went to Bulldog office and recieved our tickets and directions. Later that night we started walking to the jail to meet our group. We walked through dark streets and what they fail to tell you is that the jail is in the projects. We were half way there, no other people were around, we got nervous and turned around. We went back to Bulldog tours and voiced our concerns and they did offer to let us go on a differant tour that night. We were going to accept but our shuttle did not run that late. We were out $36 but saftey comes first. All the other tours met at Bulldog office and walked to there destinations in big groups. Why the jail tour does not i don't know. |

| My husband and myself took the jailhouse tour on a Sunday evening. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had great stories. We got a spook when we heard what sounded like a chain dragging in one the rooms. We also got pictures of some spirits. The tours was very interesting as well as entertaining. |

| The jail itselt was pretty creepy; however, we thought that there would be creepy "monsters" hanging around, some special effects., etc. The story teller was very good. We went on a Sunday night; apparently there were no students in the basement sawing away, so Sunday must be a good night to go. The only real complaint we had was that we walked six blocks to get to the jail. It would have been better if a shuttle was there at the Bulldog office to take us to the jail because once there, the surrounding area didn't look very safe.
