I went into this tour expecting to see a lot more of the jail, but in reality you only see 3 different rooms. What they don't tell you is that the jail is now actually the "American College of the Building Arts" (google it). It is actually a functioning college and many of the rooms in the jail are now workshops and classrooms. In addition to being a functional college, they are working on preserving and stabilizing the building itself. As a result, you don't get to see much of the building and it is definitely a construction zone inside, but it is still pretty spooky. Our tour guide was a dramatic woman with blue / black hair, I'm thinking her name was Rebel. She did a great job of incorporating the actual history of the building into her tour and stories, and she actually cited research that had been done to debunk old myths and gave the new accurate versions. Overall it was a fun tour, not scary, but interesting for history buffs and ghost story seekers. As a side note, we did take a few pictures that had orbs in them. They are probably just dust, but I'm still anxious to have them developed to know for sure. |

We have participated in many ghost tours throughout the country, and this ranks as one of the best ones we've done. The jail was impressive in itself, and our guide was wondeful! We learned a lot about the history of the area and the jail, and actually had a personal experience in one of the cel rooms. This was truly an unforgetable experience. |

This tour was fun to do with our family and friends of about 15 people. The anticipation of the tour the whole week was just as fun as the tour itself. It was raining on the day of the tour, but it turned out to be ok. I thought we would see a lot more of the jail...they only showed us 3 rooms. And when it ended it was very anti-climatic. We had fun scaring each other within the group. I wouldn't do this with just your spouse or girlfriend or boyfriend...waste of time. Having a large group def. helped. Being in the jail is interesting and learning the history was cool, but it really wasn't very scary. Our tour guide was good...very dramatic and knowledgable. I would recommend to do one time, but if your looking for something very scary and haunted....this tour is probably not what you are looking for. I did have some weird "orbs" on pictures I took outside the jail in the dark. |

This was definintely not spooky. The jail isn't abandoned. It's been turned into a college campus. There are classrooms in most of the rooms and lots of debris from building projects. It would have been much more believable in an empty (abandoned) building. The surrounding neighborhood isn't safe or somewhere I would normally venture. Drive your car to the jail - don't walk! |

The tour really brought to life how awful the conditions were. Our guide was great! He was a good story teller. We were four adults ranging in age from 28 to 55 |

Fun Tour! Guide was knowledgeable as well as humorous; answered questions and knew the history of the jail. We took the 8:00 pm tour which was just "dark" enough to add to the experience. Don't waste time looking for parking on the surrounding streets as the jail has parking on the property. |

Very misleading, the jail only had 2 rooms we could go in. The guide was great but we were expecting something totally fun and scary!! the kids were bored to death and all said it was in their words "stupid" |

the tour was alright. our guide (AJ) kept chit chatting with a guy in our group and becoming buddy buddy which I felt took away some from the experience. |
