We enjoyed our tour guide and our tour of the old Charleston jail. Not only did we learn alot of history, but we walked among the energy of the spirits of the past residents of the jail and their keepers.
The guide (AJ) did a great job as he moved us through the rooms and levels of the jail, plying us with stories and tidbits of experiences he has had in the building as well as the history of the inmates and their stories. |

This tour was very interesting. Great stories about the history of the jail and the people associated with it. The tour guide did a great job of answering questions and framing the each part of the jail with a story. Would highly recommend this tour. |

Glen was our tour guide. He was very informative and spoke well. He had a lot of interesting stories with details. The jail itself is scary! One member of our group was a non-believer of ghosts. She now believes....
I would recommend this tour because it is entertaining and you learn alot about the history of the jail and how the prisoners were treated. |

The tour was cramped, hot as all get out, and lacking in the ghost department. Our tour consisted of mainly history on the jail and not ghost stories. The stories were very long winded and not very scary at all. I would not recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys their ghosts. |

I really enjoyed the tour guide (Glenn). His storytelling ability was wonderful. However, I do feel the tour was over-hyped in the literature online. The jail itself has some incredible history, but the haunted angle was not focused on much. We mostly learned of the jail's fabled past. I would have loved something a bit more interactive. Maybe show some pictures of reported sightings or tell more stories about the ghosts seen at this location. This tour could have been so much more with a few props and pictures and a slightly different focus. |

Great tour of the jail just a little less of the inside of the jail then I thought there would be. Glen did a great job with the tour. |

Our guide was terrible. Of course, we are dealing with ghosts here, that don't really exist. When people would take pictures, she would say, "oh, you will probably have orbs in those picture". And as she would walk by an open door, she would say, "oh, I felt a cold spot, that could be a spirit". Overall, the tour was not scary at all and kind of silly. She did give a fairly good background of why the prison was built there and the different people that were killed there. But as far as a scary ghost tour, this certainly was not it! |

Loved the fact that it was 45 min. It really was adequate and very much enjoyed. Just spooky enough and believe it or not...once we got home, there were "orbs" of all sizes in some of our pics!!!! |

Going into this, I thought it might be a hokey tour but when my family and I went, it made me a believer in ghosts. The weather set the stage, it was lighting and raining. We were soaked so we were really happy to go inside. But before we went in, we went to the bathroom downstairs through the outside entrance. I didn't notice anything but my girls kept taking myspace pictures and thejr camera wouldn't work half the time and the battery went low really quickly. We never thought anything about this, then on the tour, we took lots of pictures and the same thing kept happening not only to my family but to everyone else too. As the girls were looking at the pics they noticed orbs in the picture. We have never seen anything like this ever. I was very skeptic about all this but I felt a bad presence in there. I also saw a red orb in one area of the jail. Now I am a believer and I suggest this tour to everyone that doesn't believe. |

Our family loved this tour. Our kids were scared just enough and each swore they saw one of the ghosts. The tour guide was very knowledgable and informative. AND our tour had a little something extra...our tour was especially enhanced by the major thunder and lightning storm taking place as we toured the jail. It does take place rain or shine as the ad states...my advice...pray for a storm! Also...pay special attention to that "13th" step! Have fun and happy ghost hunting!!! |
