We've been to several ghost tours in Savannah and Charleston. This one actually made me uneasy! The guide was personable. At one point I wandered to another room from the tour and felt that, "I'd rather be back with the group", feeling. The guide mentioned paranormal investigators had their camera suddenly move and become disabled, in a particular corner of a room on the second floor, a few months ago. Well, I was taking lots of pictures with my new camera, with new batteries. My camera stopped/broke, lens permanently irretractible, trying to take a picture in that same corner of the room (very coincidental). Anyway, my teenagers and I enjoyed this tour. |

Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the city and the jail we toured. We got to look around and take pictures throughout the whole tour. She told us great stories and was super entertaining. We are excited to print our pictures because in the viewing screen there looks like a ghost or something is visible!! |

So my family has been coming to Charleston annually for many years. We've gone on several different tours, but this one was quite different than the rest. Our tour guide, Suzanne, did a wonderful job at keeping us interested. She was quite detailed about the history of the jail, which to some could be boring, but with Charleston being so rich in history, I felt it was a very important part in this tour. While on the tour, when walking down the stairs to go to the basement, we were welcome by a swift cool breeze. We weren't really sure where it was coming from since the air is quite still in the jail & so thick you could probably cut it with a knife & warm (hence the reason they sell water before entering the tour). As the very cool breeze blasted past us, my boyfriend managed to take a picture from the top of the steps directly down to the doorway to the basement. If there was a way to upload the picture, I would. There is a person, whom looks like a soldier, standing in the doorway. Even after the breeze has stopped & we were in the basement, my shirt continued to move as though the breeze was still whizzing past me, but the breeze had stopped moments before. For whatever reason, not once did any of my family (nor I) get scared. Infact, we felt quite calm & at ease throughout the tour (myself even being comfortable enough to stay behind in some of the cells as the tour walked on). This was a very interesting experience & I would recommend it to anyone with an open mind. My boyfriend (who never believes in this kind of phenomenon) walked away a little more convinced that its possible. Who woulda thunk? |

I really enjoyed the tour of the jail. Suzann, the tour guide was very well informed and a great story teller. I reccommend this tour for anyone, and look forward to taking tours with the company in the future. |

This tour was a lot of fun. My 10 year old daughter and I enjoyed it. We did not see ghosts. but when my daughter went into the darkened hallway and took a photo, it looked like a demon's face showed up in the photo. The tour guide was good and knows a lot of history. |

Our guide was Suzanne. She was very good and possessed great knowledge of the jail and of the surrounding community. She did a very good job of keeping us on the edge and in tuned to what was going on. I would recommend this activity to anyone I knew was going. |

The tour was fun and the guide was fairly well educated on the history of the jail. However, there was not many rooms of the jail to see, I suppose on account of the restoration taking place. All in all it was a nice tour and I enjoyed it. |
