The Charleston Haunted Jail Tour

This tour, to me, wasn't very scary or spooky at all. However, we had a great tour guide (Karen) who was incredibly enthusiastic and theatrical with her stories about the Old City Jail. I'm a history buff, so I found all of the historical stuff very interesting. Didn't see any ghosts or sense anything out of the ordinary, but we had a great time.

Karen was a great, funny guide.

The history was interesting. Would like to have seen more of the jail. We went at night and it was definitely spooky.

Enjoyed every minute of the ghost jail tour! Our guide Karen was amazing...very knowledgable, and her voice added to the mystique of our experience. Would recommend to all paranormal buffs out there. Well organized, tickets easily purchased and understandable process.

Our tour leader Susan was fantastic! She really liked her job and was able to bring the stories to life for us. I also was able to get some fantastic pictures of the prision and the grounds

Enjoyed the tour of an interesting piece of architecture but not as "scary" as advertised. Guide was good and she made it fun but probably would not attend again.

Tour was very educational and guide was very informative. For photographic purposes,I would recommend doing this tour during warmer weather and during the daylight. There definitely is a presence in the jail!!!

My husband had picked out these tours as a part of our anniversary. The jail tour was very informative, dark and scary!! Everything we would of hoped it would be. The tour guide was knowledgable in the goihngs on of all the different facets of the jail, and the stories of hauntings and historical events surrounding the tour. Our group was small, and very nice to converse with. So may times we have been on group tours where a couple of people were rude and kind of ruined it for the rest of us. But this group was great. We got some fantastic photos inside the jail as well that i plan on sharing!! All in all, I give it an A PLUS. My husband and I were very happy for the opportunity to be a part!

The history of the jail was very interesting and the guide was terrific. We actually caught two EVP"S on my digital voice recorder. We highly recomend this tour if you have any interest in Ghost hunting.

I was really impressed with our guide, Susan. Great personality and very knowledgeable. I wish I could have seen more of the jail, but understand why we couldn't (restoration in progress).
