The Charleston Haunted Jail Tour

Susan was great and was full of information. I had no idea of the things that went on in that erra. It was pretty scary! Charleston is full of history and Susan was so great and full of enthusiam. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Even the children in our group loved it!

The guide was excellent. She was knowledgable and witty.

Because the building is undergoing renovation, and is also a school for those learning restoration, we only visited two rooms. Also, the tour guide's delivery was very theatrical and well rehearsed.

The tour was quick and seemed very scripted. The last room we went in to, the guide turned out the lights and gave a personal story of interactions with ghosts, this was the best, not chilling part of the tour. In the end, he describes the school that now resided in the prison and it kind of tool away from tour

I used to get so bored when my mother dragged me to history tours. This is a great way to learn local history! We had some great experiences on our tour. I got a great photo and was even scratched on the back of the neck after leaving solitary. OK, maybe not a great thing to happen but still cool! You won't regret it! The only reason I gave it 4/5 is because I thought it could've been a little longer.

Me and my boyfriend went on this tour and didnt know quite what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. We had a great tour guide and this jailhouse is very very creepy but interesting at the same time. I would recommend it for any visitors with some extra time on their hands.

We had a blast during this tour, and Suzanne was an excellent tour guide. We highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good spook!

She provided the mystery that was needed for this tour. I don't think the jail itself was that spectacular, but she did a great job of trying to make it more scary. I didn't see any ghosts, or feel any cold breezes or anything like that. The best part of the whole tour was the history of the place. That in itself is enough to make you shudder. When you think of the horrors that must have gone on in that place. The diseases, the hangings, the whippings, the heat and cold since there were no windows in the place; That is enough to make it interesting. I would rather take the graveyard tour next time. I don't think the jailhouse tour was worth doing twice, but it was interesting enough to be worthwhile.

It was fun, very short but it was fun.
