| This was definintely not spooky. The jail isn't abandoned. It's been turned into a college campus. There are classrooms in most of the rooms and lots of debris from building projects. It would have been much more believable in an empty (abandoned) building. The surrounding neighborhood isn't safe or somewhere I would normally venture. Drive your car to the jail - don't walk! |

| The tour really brought to life how awful the conditions were. Our guide was great! He was a good story teller. We were four adults ranging in age from 28 to 55 |

| Ok so we went to see this. First I wouldn't walk to it, DRIVE YOUR CAR. It's not in the greatest area and it was really dark.
It was really hot in there and the tour was ok. Learned a lot about it from back in the day. It was neat to see the orignal doors and areas. But yes you only go into 3 rooms because A LOT of it is under construction. I hope that one day they set it up like it once was. It is so old that they are trying to restore it so it doensn't fall down. Most of it is closed because there is an oak tree grow in one of the buildings. |

| i went on the jail tour on 05/16/2009. the jail its self was worth the trip but the tour (to be nice about it ) i wouldnt go back if they paid me $18.00. i took that long trip to go through the whole jail and got to see three rooms. it needs to be on there site. only three or four rooms are open and since its half a jail tour it should be half price. |

| This is a very good tour. Our guide, Susan, was very well rounded on the history of the jail. She pointed out at the beginning of the tour that it was a historical tour, not a tour to scare you... So don't expect any evil clowns or Freddy Kruegers to come jumping out at you. We were told that this is the best ghost tour in Charleston and my wife and I fully agree. Don't forget to bring your camera... you won't regret it. |

| The tour guide (Ginger) was very knowledgeable about the tour and a good story teller. There was another group on the property (part of the school that actually owns the property) and they were building things and playing music which was distracting from the tour and sort of put a damper on the atmosphere. I would recommend going on a later tour (after 8:00 pm) to avoid these distractions and have the added benefit of a spooky tour after dark. |

| Our guide was very versed on a tremendous amount of history of Charleston. The ghost stories were astonishing and quite believable. The walk thru the cemetary was really amazing as one of the guest actually saw a large white ghost bent over one of the graves as we approached the cemetary. |

| The jail itselt was pretty creepy; however, we thought that there would be creepy "monsters" hanging around, some special effects., etc. The story teller was very good. We went on a Sunday night; apparently there were no students in the basement sawing away, so Sunday must be a good night to go. The only real complaint we had was that we walked six blocks to get to the jail. It would have been better if a shuttle was there at the Bulldog office to take us to the jail because once there, the surrounding area didn't look very safe.

| Enjoyed tour very much. Guide was a great storyteller and made the historical facts of the events that happened there come to life. Would recommend this activity to anyone who wants to get an historical aspect on a side of Charleston that is not covered in the usual tours. |
