The Charleston Stroll Holiday Walking Tour

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Charleston Stroll. It was advertised as a Holiday Stroll, but had very little to do with Christmas or the Holidays aside from the Christmas decorations on the houses we walked by. Nevertheless, the walk was extremely informative and our guide, Brooke, had lots of interesting tidbits about Charleston history and the history of the particular neighborhoods we walked in. This was not "cookie cutter" history, but interesting facts that you are unlikely to hear anywhere else. We have visited Charleston many times, but learned and saw lots of history we had never encountered before.

Really enjoyed walking and learning the history of the area and houses.

The tour was great, but I strongly attribute that to our tour guide, David. He made the tour what it was. He's very knowledgeable. He has a rich family history in Charleston. I can tell he is an all around good and caring person.

Wonderful historic tour as we started our vacation in Charleston. We learned a great deal about Charlestons' history and our guide was very thorough with any questions we had. A must to do! The Christmas goodies at the end of the tour was a real treat! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to this this on Christmas Day :)

Our tour guide, Kathy, made this tour the most enjoyable activity of our weekend. Besides having personality and a half, Kathy was well versed in the history of Charleston and its historical sights. Even my 19 year-old son, who hates this kind of activity, said it was his favorite event. The two hours flew by.

Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. It was a miserable cold and rainy day. Nonetheless our guide, Jennifer, was flexible and upbeat. She adapted the tour to suit the weather (spent a bit more time indoors) without sacrificing our experience. All in all a nice way to see Charleston.

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. The guide was interesting and informative and the walk was leisurely enough to not be too tiring. However, although a few of the houses we saw were decorated for Christmas, there was nothing "Holiday" about the tour. Basically, it was the same tour they always give with a few decorations and eggnog and cookies at the end. If the word "Holiday" had been left out of the description I would have been completely satisfied and given the tour 5 stars!

The tour guide was very enthusiastic and knew her material well. The tour was great. I would advise everyone to take this tour on their first day at Charleston.

Very considerate of this tour guide to take us out on Christmas Day. Had a great time!
