| This was probably my favorite of all the tours I went on in Charleston. Our guide was extremely personable and well-acquainted with the area. The walk provided us with frequent stops, so it was not too long. The stories and the sites were excellent, and I felt like I had a better grasp of Charleston's history and architecture after it. I would highly recommend this tour! |

| My husband and I are stationed here and decided to take a few tours before we left the area. We both enjoyed this tour very much. The tour was scenic and provided some interesting facts that neither one of us had known before. Overall, it was definitely worth the time and the money spent. |

| Ruth's knowledge of history and her beloved town made our tour very interesting and a worthwhile investment of money and time. Our children are grown and had never been to Charleston so this was certainly of benefit and interest. The pace was excellent with a real taste for the rich history and beauty of Charleston. Would definately recommend the tour with Ruth as the guide. |

| This tour was great. You not only get to here much of the history of charelston, but you also get a closer look at the different architectural styles of homes and buildings. Many walking tours I have been on are rushed, not allowing for questions or photo opts., and crowded. This tour was very slow paced and relaxed with just a small group of people. The best part was that everywhere we went it was not crowded with other tourists. I would recommend this to anyone who loves history and doesn't mind a little walking. |

| A wonderful slow walk through the history, architecture, lifestyles and current events of Charleston. The tour guide was knowledgable of the area and showed a passion for the subject. He seemed to be able to accomodate individual interests while still maintaining the general historical stories of the city. Thoroughly enjoyable and have already recommended to friends. Probably the best 2 hours I spent in the city. |

| Our family, husband and wife in 40's with two teens, does not get very excited about learning about history but wanted to know about Charleston and it's past. We realized we needed a tour, but were not that excited about it. What a wonderful surprise! This two-hour tour is exceptional - our guide, Butler, kept us all interested the entire time. We walked a good bit, and she took us inside several types of buildings, including the historic City Hall, and a church.
All four of us absolutely loved the tour, and we were able to spend the afternoon going back to visit more thoroughly the places that interested us. I highly recommend this tour early in your Charleston visit. |

| If you only have time to participate in one tour - do this! It was great.
Tour guide gave excellent information and told us many interesting points about the buildings and their history. Got to walk through alleys and sneak a peak into the back yards and get a real sense of life in Charleston.
Wear walking shoes and bring water. |

| This tour was very interesting. My family did not know much about Charleston or it's history but we certainly learned a lot. The architecture is phenomenal. We learned so much about the history of the single and double houses, the reasons for the "piazza" and the importance of preserving the original buildings. Just viewing the beauty of the wrought iron gates and ornate columns was worth the price of the tour. I believe you learn more and observe more on a walking tour because you actually take the time to stop and view the details. Our tour was in June and it was not too hot outside, but we had an excellent tour guide that made sure that all of our stops were in the shaded areas anyway. This made the tour all the more enjoyable. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring a bottle of water and, depending on the time of year, bring a jacket and/or an umbrella. Don't forget your camera because the houses are beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous. If I had to pick one negative thing about the tour, it would be waiting for the tour ahead of you to move on. However, it was never a long wait and it only happened at a couple of stops. All in all, it was one of the better tours we have taken. |
