My husband and I did the haunted jail tour and WOW. Scary from the moment you see the jail at night. Creepy! You could feel the very presence of evil from the get go. A must see!

Neil was our guide and he was great. He knew lots of ghost stories and made it very interesting. The only problem is that now I want to do more research on Charleston historym. I would highly recommend it.

Our tour guide did a great job of taking us back in time, showing us where the town brothel was, where they hung and burned people, you can stand on the very spot that slaves were traded. He was from Charleston, his family was from there and he was full of knowledge. Great Tour, I'd recommend this to anyone. My husband was a bit skeptical at first and was questioning whether our guide was making stuff up as he went, but by the end of it, he was convinced there was no way he could make up that much. It's not something you get to do everyday, so if you have the time deffinately take the tour.

Really looking forward to this tour, what a let down, We felt it was rushed and the tour guide must have had other plans for the evening. We were told this was the scariest tour, there was nothing scarey about it. We did a ghost tour in Key West that really puts the jail tour to shame. Charleston is a great historical town don' t waste your time on this tour.

I guess we could have just gotten a poor guide. We bailed 15 minutes into the walk. Might try again with a different guide.

Guide was very knowledgable with pictures to prove his stories. He showed a lot of energy and enthusiam about his subject. He was friendly and made us all feel welcome to Charleston. Great tour.

If you want to see a ghost, then join TAPS! If you would like to see a piece of history with some unfortunate tales, then come visit the Old City Jail. I enjoyed learning about the history of Charleston's Jail and the people who stayed there. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This is perfect for people who want a visual picture the horrible past accompanied by this jail.

the tour was very informative in a pretty creepy building....if you enjoy history (especially creepy) it was wonderful.

I wasn't prepared for the language used on this tour and the tour guide was also very hard to understand. I felt there could have been more structure to this tour. It seemed like he was just saying anything that popped into his head.

We had a big group and all ordered our tickets seperately on-line so some of us were not able to be in the same group for the tour. It would have been useful if we would have known this before hand so we could have all purchased our tickets together and been in the same tour group.

It was awesome! Would like to go back again. The tour could have been longer but I got some amazing pictures. Very heavy feeling in that jail. Definetely haunted.

It was a good tour but not scarey. It was advertised as a "not recommended for small children or men that cry easily." We thought it would be scarey and then we get there and one of the first things the tour guide says is that this is not a "boo tour" it is historical. It was definitely historical, interesting and gruesome stories were told. It was not worth the money as we only got to see 3 rooms and it went very fast.

Lot's of local history. Very interesting. I took a picture inside the dungeon that shows what appears to be a young woman in period clothing. She seems to be coming through a door and leaning slightly to her left. Would you be interested in seeing this picture and helping me identify what or who this person might be? I don't think it is a reflection since there is no glass that I can remember being in this area.

This was one of the most memorable ghost tours I've ever taken and one of the best things I did in Charleston! Our tour guide was fantastic.
