It's worth about $5.00 not the $18.00 that I paid. The group was too large and just not that interesting.

Eric our tour guide was interesting but not very engaging. You could tell he'd done the tour many times and he had his routine down pat. We did the tour for the kids (and there were a number of other kids there also) and they became bored quickly because Eric did the ghost stories as a 'museum' style tour guide would for adults and not for the younger set. The tour had only 4 stops, which was deeply disappointing, I would have thought that an old town like Charleston would have plenty of places to show off their ghost tales. The dungeon is a complete waste, it could be any underground place in town. Not to say that the tour was a complete letdown, it was fun to walk around town and see some of the old buildings. We knew we weren't on a historical tour but this tour could have been much better if some history was thrown in while we were walking to each stop and if the stories were geared toward the kids and letting them be more entertained. |

I was very excited about going on this tour as it was my first ghost tour/darkside tour I had ever attended. I was disappointed in that the tour guide was very hard to hear and understand. He was not very attentive to the outside noises that happened around us that took away from his vocals of history. The most interesting part of the tour was the graveyard tour. I felt the tour lacked enthusiasm, although, the knowledge of the guide and his historical facts were quite vast. It would have helped to be able to hear and understand him better. |

The Ghost and Graveyard tour was interesting, but unfortunately the tour guide was not very enthusiastic and it was very hard to hear what she was saying. She was very soft spoken and with the traffic on the streets I had to literally stand right next to her to hear the stories.
I have heard that the jail tour was scary and that people have actually had picutres of orbs on their film. Next time to Charleston we will definitely do the jail tour. |

My family was very much looking forward to our Ghost Tour. We have done similar tours in New Orleans and we were hoping and expecting the same high quality delivery and story telling. Boy was I disappointed.
Our guide never spoke loud enough for the group to hear and he was asked more than once to please speak more loudly. I could hear his peers with other groups better than I could hear him. He also would provide a historical fact, but when asked more info could not answer. This is a point of contention with me. If you are going to mention a historical figure buried in a cemetary, be prepared to answer more about that person or don't mention the fact. He mentioned a former US VP and when asked when the person served and why he was buried in Charleston, he couldn't provide an answer. This was within the first 10 minutes of the tour, and after that I didn't bother to ask other questions as I figured he couldn't answer.
The stories he told were dull and I think that was due to him, not necessarily the stories themselves. I would not recommend your tours based on my experience. My children were bored -again they were expecting the quality we had in New Orleans. My suggestion to others that might consider this type of tour -take a carriage ride or a water tour, both were more fun and informational. |

We enjoyed our tour with our family. Our daughter thought it was fun walking through parts of the city. Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the tour. The stories we heard were interesting. |

We had an enthusiastic tour guide who knew the history and stories of the area quite well. He interacted with each group within the party, and allowed us to stop along the way for more details and stories. The access to the dungeon was what sold me on this tour. It's a really neat place, and the stories associated with it were interesting, even to this skeptic. I enjoyed the tour, and would recommend it to anyone. |

If you like old ghost stories and hearing that there are several places that are haunted in Charleston then this is the tour for you. You don't get to go into any places and you have no proof it's really haunted. It was kind of a boring tour but if you like history then it would be the tour for you. |

This was probably my favorite of all the tours I went on in Charleston. Our guide was extremely personable and well-acquainted with the area. The walk provided us with frequent stops, so it was not too long. The stories and the sites were excellent, and I felt like I had a better grasp of Charleston's history and architecture after it. I would highly recommend this tour! |

I enjoyed this tour a good deal. The tour guide was a great storyteller, and the jail itself provided enough "creepiness" to make it all work. It was an interesting way to spend an hour, and I would recommend this tour to anyone not wanting to take 90-120 minutes for an evening tour. Be aware of the creepiness of the walk TO the jail, however...it takes you down dark alleys and side streets. If walking, it would be best to find others going on the tour and taking a group down. They do offer a driving option, which would not be a bad option, either. |

The jail was so much fun. Unfortunately we didn't see anything, but maybe next time. The only downside was it was way too short. I would love to have gone through more of the jail. |

We enjoyed the entertaining commentary, as well as seeing the churches, graveyards, gravestones, and really cool alleyways, background of same, etc.
Pretty good to know of the history of the hotel where WE WERE STAYING, as well!
We saw places and learned things about Charleston that we would NEVER have known without the tour.
Excellent tour guide!
