| Glen was our tour guide. He was very informative and spoke well. He had a lot of interesting stories with details. The jail itself is scary! One member of our group was a non-believer of ghosts. She now believes.... I would recommend this tour because it is entertaining and you learn alot about the history of the jail and how the prisoners were treated. | ||||||

| The tour was cramped, hot as all get out, and lacking in the ghost department. Our tour consisted of mainly history on the jail and not ghost stories. The stories were very long winded and not very scary at all. I would not recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys their ghosts. | ||||||

| This tour was interesting although it ended up being a bit too intense for our 10 year old daughter who does have a good imagination. This although we went to the early (7 p.m.) tour which ends before dark. | ||||||

| We were so incredibly dissapointed with our tour. The guide mumbled the entire tour, was asked to speak up so we could hear him and continued to mumble. It was a miserable 1 1/2 hrs. We even contemplated mid- tour leaving the group to try another. At the end, he left us in a parking lot and we weren't even sure the tour was ov er. It was an unfortunately bad experience. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the tour guide (Glenn). His storytelling ability was wonderful. However, I do feel the tour was over-hyped in the literature online. The jail itself has some incredible history, but the haunted angle was not focused on much. We mostly learned of the jail's fabled past. I would have loved something a bit more interactive. Maybe show some pictures of reported sightings or tell more stories about the ghosts seen at this location. This tour could have been so much more with a few props and pictures and a slightly different focus. | ||||||

| We took the tour to learn about some of the lesser told parts of Charleston and had a great time. Guide was knowledgable and group was fun. Easy walk- definatley do the later walk-- the humidity is more bareable! | ||||||

| Before I booked with Bulldog, I read some of the reviews and found a fair amount of negative ones, but I was optimistic and just chalked the negative ones up to people having too high expectations. Unfortunately, I can no longer say that that is the case. I had very low expectations, I just wanted a number of "ghost" stories relating to Charleston and maybe some local history thrown in. Even with these expectations, I was greatly disappointed. I think they told maybe three stories over the entire 90 minute tour and some of them had nothing to do with Charleston (e.g., they spent half an hour on a story that had to do with an entirely different city that happened to have a grave stone similar to one we were looking at in Charleston). Moreover, other stories were clearly just cobbled together from parts of well-known campfire ghost stories that are told around the world, yet the company pretended like they were unique to Charleston and happened there. Bottom line, I'm sure there are fun and entertaining tour companies in Charleston, but this is clearly not one of them. | ||||||

| It was not what I expected. I thought there was going to be tricks they use to make it look like the places were haunted. It was interesting and enjoyable though. It is just the guide telling historical ghost stories. The dungeon was cool but we didn't spend enough time in it. There were unexplored sections in the dungeon. I think the whole tour should be in the dungeon. | ||||||

| The dungeon was interesting but the guide seemed more interested in pointing out shadows as "ghosts" than about the history of the building and area. The rest of the tour was good and the stories were okay but again the guide was a little over-the-top and quick to try and pin "ghost encounter" on every noise or shadow. Previously took the The Haunted Jail Tour and would highly recommend it. | ||||||

| Our guide was terrible. Of course, we are dealing with ghosts here, that don't really exist. When people would take pictures, she would say, "oh, you will probably have orbs in those picture". And as she would walk by an open door, she would say, "oh, I felt a cold spot, that could be a spirit". Overall, the tour was not scary at all and kind of silly. She did give a fairly good background of why the prison was built there and the different people that were killed there. But as far as a scary ghost tour, this certainly was not it! | ||||||

| Loved the fact that it was 45 min. It really was adequate and very much enjoyed. Just spooky enough and believe it or not...once we got home, there were "orbs" of all sizes in some of our pics!!!! | ||||||
