Enjoyed tour very much. Guide was a great storyteller and made the historical facts of the events that happened there come to life. Would recommend this activity to anyone who wants to get an historical aspect on a side of Charleston that is not covered in the usual tours. |

Very well presented with historical facts. Guide could have spoken just a little slower and provided information as the group walked from one point of interest to the next. Overall a good tour. |

We went to on a tour thinking that we would enjoy a scary night. But instead we had the most boring tour guide who has a monotone voice that basically puts us to sleep. We were so looking forward on this tour that it put a dapper on our first night to Charleston. But thats OK this tour did not stop us from having fun later that week. We just want to tell everyone that don't waste your time and money on this. They could of make it more fun by plotting parts of the tour by scaring someone to death. I sure the stories that they tell us is true, but they should of make it very interesting. |

Suzann provided an excellent tour of the old jail. She was well informed and explained the history of the jail in a way that kept everyones attention. Very good tour and I recommend it as one of the best of Charleston. |

We would not recommend this tour to anyone! With the thought that we were going to do a walking tour and go to several buildings in Charleston and have the tour guide tell stories/tales about what took place in each of these buildings and/or areas, we were flabbergasted that what we mostly did was stand on corners, underneath street lights, and against buildings and were told stories that had nothing to do with where we were standing. And every single story for 1.5 hours was about prostitution. Didn't hear about debauchery, murders, etc. Just prostitution and millions of references about how well endowed King Charles II was. The four of us were extremely bored and couldn't wait for Eli to stop talking and get the tour over with. |

I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the other reviews for the Ghost & Dungeon Tour, but it met and exceeded all of our expectations! Our tour guide was Barbara, a fantastic storyteller, who kept us entertained every step along the way. There was ample time to ask questions and explore the dungeon. This was the highlight of our trip to Charleston and our only regret was that we didn't have enough time to take the rest of the ghost tours Bulldog offered!! |

The tour ran on time. Our guide was knowledgable -was able to answer questions-and was very friendly. She kept us in the shade as much as possible-which we appreciated. She gave a very thorough overview of the history of the city.
We would definelty tour through this Website again.
We had wanted to do the ghost tour also-but it wasn't running that day (Labor Day).
The ghost tour we did take wasn't that good-I'm sure your was better |

We're locals but had friends visiting from out of town. We wanted to take them on a tour where they could see the city as well as learn some history. All of us really loved this tour and our guide was VERY knowledgeable about Charleston's history! We had a great time and we would highly recommend this to anyone!!! |

Spent the first half of the tour standing in a parking lot listening to the guide going on about how the tour was going to be. They take you to remote locations, then tell you about what you would see if you could go further. Take the haunted jail tour and save yourself some time. We actually left after 40 minutes of boring stories. The guide dosen't even give you time to take pictures. |

My Friends and I had a blast on the tour. Let's be real, you know that a ghost isn't going to jump out and grab you, however the stories where great and the graveyard creepy. I suggest the last tour - its much darker and creepier to walk around the graveyard. |

I've lived in the Charleston area for 12 years and have been on numerous tours of the city, both walking and carriage, including other ghost tours. I had company from out-of-town for the Labor Day weekend and thought this would be a fun one. I had two main problems with the tour: 1) The tour itself included too few actual sights and WAY too much time spent waiting at each one. Other ghost tours I've been on took us off the beaten path and through the old, charming areas of downtown, stopping briefly to share tales about many different people, houses, cemeteries, alleys, etc. This tour took the first 40 minutes, mostly standing and waiting, to see two sights (the dungeon and a restaurant, both on the main thoroughfare East Bay Street). It reminded me of the queues at Disney World where you stand in one themed area then another so you don't realize how long you're standing and waiting in line (which I appreciate at Disney World, but not on a walking tour to see the sights of a city). The dungeon was definitely not worth the wait; go into any business on King Street to see a similar sight. 2) Charleston is so rich in folklore and history, it was very disappointing (especially considering how much time we stood at each stop) that the tour guide spoke adnauseam about only one person at each, concerned more with dramatic flare than with sharing stories. She seemed like a displaced actor reciting a dramatic monologue, not engaging with the group, and not wanting to be bothered or asked questions at all. I believe one of the most endearing parts of Charleston is our many enthusiastic tour guides who enjoy what they do and love sharing what they know about the city. Unfortunately, this was not one of them.
I wish I could say even one positive thing but I felt completely disappointed and ripped off by this tour. I will continue to share our charming city on other tours but definitely not with this company.

My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. Our only thing against it was the guide spoke fairly quickly. There were stories that you may have need more background on or history reminders that he was a few sentences into before you could process what was being said. His volume was a little low too. But he spoke fairly long on most topics and I think there was enough repetition to get the gist of what was missed. He came across as very knowledgable and really respecting history in general and in particular to his city. On some other tours you may take you get some overlapping stories that other guides tell you, but his stories were often side stories others never mentioned on topica or just topics that others wouldn't hit on. I'm not good at remembering dates and details given to me as fast as they were in the tour and I feel I'd appreciate things more had I heard them again. Our Guide was Lane, I believe, if he's yours he is very good. As usual its best to stick close to him so you may hear side stories from othe rpeoples questions en route to different locations or just to hear more detail when he speaks. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. |

I liked the ghost tour very much. Our guide was nice and he tried to tell us a lot of stories. We learned alot about the history of Charleston which helped us enjoy the rest of our visit. Going into the cemetary at night was fun. It wasn't scary but it creates a mood and makes the tour more fun. Now that we're home we often talk about the tour when we think back about our trip. Next time we go we plan on taking another tour. |
