Bulldog Tours

I was very dissapointed with the tour...there was very little to sample and it turned into a shopping trip at cooking supply stores....not exactly what I think an overpriced paid tour should include....I am a eater not a chef...I wanted to try samples from different resturants not shop for cooking utensils.

Very informative however thought we would be walking around more to various locations

Myself (local) and my best friend (international) went on this tour on the 2nd day of her visit. It was a GREAT introduction to the different Charleston food variety, restaurants, and food related shops. We were able to identify different restaurants to go to based on what we tasted during this tour. The tour was paced perfectly (not too fast, not too slow) and we loved our very classy tour guide. I would recommend to locals & tourists!!

Overall, a good tour....glad we did it in April rather in the summer when it's hot. Would have liked a little less detail about the Civil War and more about the town of Charleston itself, if that's possible!

Exceptional guide, great history/information; excellent food! A fun time.

The tour of the haunted jail was ok, nothing special. I went with my husband while on our honeymoon in Hilton Head SC. The jail is quite small, and we only for to see 3the or 4the rooms since the location doubles as a school for "building restorations. Students are fixing up the jail so there were projects everywhere, and many rooms blocked off. The tour guid was nice, i wish there were more "scary" stories to go along with the tour. I am a person afraid of my own shawdow, and 88 did not find the tour spooky in the least. Overall, the tour was ok, an interesting way to fill a hole in your evening. (The horse and buggy tours were much more fun and informative!)

First ghost tour I've been on that actually takes you inside a location!! To top it off, something breathed in my ear! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone I know who goes to Charleston.

Having never been to Charleston and not wanting to "wander aimlessly," my husband and I decided to take The Charleston Stroll. Our guide, Mary, was a walking, talking encyclopedia with personality! We learned so much; the information she passed on to us made the city that much more interesting. We also took her advice and visited other venues she recommended. It was money well-spent.

We knew this was going to be a good tour. We just didn't know how good. The history, stories and engaging personality of the tour guide "Hoon" Calhoon had us feeling like the tour was planned just special for us. The tour guide loves doing this and is very passionate about his cities history. This is indeed, well worth your time. We were not able to finish the sample size foods each place we went because they were very generous. Thank you Hoon for such a wonderful time!

This tour was more than we bargained for. The information we received from the tour guide and the restaurant chefs was amazing. We went back to one of the restaurants to eat dinner, because we were more than impressed with the chef.

Fun, and insightful with a great tour guide and location. Well worth it.

if you like history and ghost this would be a great tour for you to take. The guide had alot of history and alot of the ghostly things that go on at the old jail. I highly recomend this tour to anyone. Thanks

Very enjoyable tour. Guide provided all the scandalous details of Charleston they didn't teach you in History class. Definitely worthy of the "adults only" condition. Great for the "gossip hound" in your group!

Our tour guide Dave provided some personal stories along with the history of the area since he grew up there. His narrative and all the historical facts were very enjoyable to our entire group ranging in age from 23 to 56. We would have lost out on so much of the history of Charleston if we had not taken the tour. We highly recommend it!

Our guide was excellent - great knowledge and love of Charleston. His delivery enabled us to "see" wonderful images and events of earlier times. Worth Every Penny Spent! We would love to take other tours offered by your company on our next trip to Charleston.
