| We took the 8:00 tour with AJ as our guide. AJ did a great job, and had just the right mix of historic info, humor and scary stories. Some of his personal experiences in the building were enough to scare all of us even if we didn't see or hear anything from the "spirits" on this tour! We didn't catch any of the orbs in any of our pictures, but another girl in our group did get some interesting shapes showing up in her pictures. We picked this tour because it would take us inside an old building instead of just walking around town or through a graveyard. I'm glad we chose this one and I would recommend it to others. We really enjoyed it! | ||||||

| I found the tour to be more about the history of Charleston than anything else. Although the historic tales are very interesting, there are better tours that provide much more detail about the beautiful city of Charleston. Our tour guide was very enthusicastic, and it's easy to see that she enjoys her job and loves the city of Charleston. If you're looking for tours of haunted places, look somewhere else. If you are interested in a bit of Charleston history and a few ghost stories, this tour could be for you. | ||||||

| The tour was very informative and historical. I would recommend this tour to anyone in the area who enjoys learning about the history of Charleston. The only down side was dealing with intoxicated people in the downtown area who thought it would be fun to taunt the groups on tour (our tour guide handled the situation very well). | ||||||

| I enjoyed our tour. The information provided and the sites we visited were unique places that I wouldn't have experienced otherwise. In addition, the guide (Braxton) mentioned other places that we later visited. He was wonderful! I would highly recommend this to other people visiting the area! | ||||||

| This was definitely a good tour. My nephew, 12, really had a great time despite getting a little bit scared during this tour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that's looking to get to see a bit of Charleston at night and hear some about the history of the ghosts of Charleston. It was a lot of fun. | ||||||

| My 13-year old daughter, her friend, and myself took the tour. Suzanne was the guide, and she was great! It began storming outside just as we met at the Jail. We went into the second chamber, led by Suzanne. She had just started talking about the first woman that was hung there, when the girls and I heard a female voice whimpering. The sound was very clear; and sounded three times. A man and his wife heard it too, and turned to see where the sound was coming from at the same time as we did. No one else in the group heard it - so I know it wasn't a planted sound effect.. It was so cool! The hair on the back of my neck stood up. Two suggestions for future tour-goers: 1. Drive to the bulldog office, don't walk to it. 2. Go on the tour with a truly open mind. | ||||||

Delve into history but don't expect to be scared

| This was a great tour of Charlston's scariest areas but if you are looking for a tour that actually puts you in the middle of it this is not for you. The dungeon was the only place we went to that actually puts you in the middle of the action and was quite creepy to have those figures looking at you. Other than that it was a history tour with a guide that was less than exciting, possiable because of his advanced age. I am sure with a different guide it would have been much more enjoyable but even then you are not taken into the buildings or cemetaries to completely delve into the experience but must stand or sit outside while your guide shares the stories with you. Obviously, if you get a bad guide as we did your experience will be worse. | ||||||

| If you are looking for an experience that puts you into the middle of the action this is the tour for you. This was the second time we have been to this jail and both times we had an experience with the supernatural or something that we could not explain. The only complaint we might have is both times we toured different parts of the jail and unfortunately did not get a chance to go into the area where we had the last contact so we could compare and see if it happened again. Even if you don't have an actual contact with something supernatural you will definately be completely creeped out by just being in the dark where so much death and dispair have occured. All I can say is you must go and judge for yourself but chances are you won't leave disappointed. | ||||||

| This tour was informational, entertaining and fun. I would suggest taking a camera on this tour. Fortunately I took one. It was recommended that we keep snapping pictures. As a result I have several pictures with very interesting orbs in them. This tour helped to demonstrate the paranormal activity in Charleston without being too sensational. | ||||||

| After reading other reviews on this tour my friends and I decided to check it out since it was voted one of the best, we were very disappointed in the tour. The graveyard tours are much better than this one. | ||||||
