Bulldog Tours

Our guide (the science teacher) was great! His knowledge of charleston's history and detailed ghost stories was enjoyable for our whole family group, aged 7 to 60!

This was a very pleasurable tour. Would definitely recommend. Tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable.

It was okay, informative....as informative as going to a museum with the lights out....have to admit, I was disappointed....would have been angry if I spent more than $18.... Tour guide, Glen was knowledgable, but was a little difficult to understand. In his story telling he used a lot of infliction, but we missed the ends of a lot of his sentences.

My wife and I were not able to do the tour because my wife has arthritus and was unable the day of the tour to hardly walk. We were disapointed but her health was too important to have her hurt. We would like to do it when she feels up to it though.

It was entertaining and a great history lesson. I don't think I was scared at any time and I didn't experience anything supernatural. Yet it was a good time.

My Husband, seventeen yr old daughter and I went on the Savor the Flavors of Charleston tour in the morning as an introduction to the city. We found the tour to be very informative and our guide, Carhy, to be gracious. We sampled traditional southern cuisine and learned how it is prepared and a little back ground on the history of the food item. We had a lite breakfast before we started the tour so we were full from our samples so we skipped lunch but couldn't wait for dinner to order up our new discoveries.

Well worth the time and money.

We enjoyed this tour very much. The leader did an excellent job and presented many facts about the city and the areas we visited. We enjoyed the walking aspects because it was more personal and easier to ask questions.

Compared to similar tours in other cities it was disappointing. Not enough food stops and 2 long shopping stops at a kitchen and spice store. Bulldog office and tour guide were great. Historical information was very interesting. Unfortunately that was not enough to make up for the other disappointments. Price was high enough to have given you more for your money.

The old jail was really neat, but it was a very short tour. I think that some other tours might be better, especially considering they cost the same. This tour was very hot (no ac in the jail) and it was short (only 45 minutes).

The history was interesting on the tour but the actual tour was bad. I expected an "old" jail not one being refurbished into who knows what with drywall and fake walls. The place is a school during the day and a "haunted" place at night after 6, Make it look original and I would give it a better score but its not scary spend your money on a better tour.

Although our tour guide was very nice, he did not keep our attention. He was an older man and we could barely hear him. He tend to drag on stories, but he did seem very knowledgeable. We were not spooked at all and felt it was more of a history tour. The only thing that interested us was the talk about the shadows. Other than that, we and along with other people in the group were very bored. The tour has so much potential and we felt it was a waste of time.

I have been on this tour a bunch of time and have really enjoyed it. I was not satisfied with this particular guide on the tour.

Our guide for the Old City Jail tour was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but the tour itself was a letdown. I was really hoping to see much more of the jail (especially the older section built in 1802), but we only saw three rooms plus a hallway. Was really expecting and hoping for more.
